I've tried with the shuriken on Gold before. The enemy just looks at you while you shoot it and says, no.

With the title, i knew the ammo power would never be AP ammo. Basically its used as an ammo sprayer and since tech explosions and BEs scale, its not bad.

Waiting for someone to do it with AP ammo so i can go WTF

I don't doubt that. Its the impact of how masochistic it is to complete a run with shurikens as a main source of damage. Kind of like the guy who posted his run of a gold solo with a avenger + AP4 + concussive shot turian soldier. I remember the guy saying the avenger did less than half the total damage even with MM and most of it was CS and that was gold. I went WTF right then

Oh my God - 40+
are you kidding me - 15ish (mostly rocket trooper related/troll drone)

I did it with AP ammo on our first run...  but I wanted the shield damage AND the shield regen delay afforded by Disruptor. The only thing that set off tech bursts was Disciples Detonating Decoy... both our Drones were specced for Rockets and not suicide. They did more DPS that way... in fact out Drones WERE our main source of DPS compared to the Shuriken. I sat there and put it right on enemy heads, and the drone would steal the kill 75% of the time!

Nope.  Shield boost is OP.  It kills swarmers.
