I am working on fixing Ashley's dialog and restoring cut content.
I have mostly fixed Ashley's date scene with an imported romance. There is one line I haven't managed to get working (if it's even possible, the dlg file is screwy), but the conversation actually makes sense now.

Thanks to Iakus, mtmercydave09 & Saito404 for helping out with saves.

Excellent! Always willing to help give Ash more content. Or making the content she has make more sense:)

Looks like they never finished the memorial wall scene...

I fixed the dialog, but they didn't do the cinematics for it. You can hear the voice, but the screen is black.

Maybe it's an ambient dialog, like between Liara and her "father"? Is it possible to make it ambient?

Good idea. I'll try that.

Great! Now...I have ME3 Explorer and all but how does one use it to place this fix into the game? Instructions? I haven't done any modding of the game via Explorer, only using Texmod so far.

1. Locate BioD_CitHub_Ash_Moment_LOC_INT.pcc in your CookedPC folder and make a back up.
2. Take the BioD_CitHub_Ash_Moment_LOC_INT.pcc file from the mod zip and copy it into CookedPC, overwriting it.
3. Open up Mass Effect 3 Explorer and run the TOCBINUpdater tool. The file it uses is in Biogame. Update it.

The instructions are also in the zip.

I can't believe they cut that little amount of dialog out of that scene.

It's such a small amount...but it really helps the scene.

Thank you.  I'm VERY new to using ME3Explorer and frankly a little scared of using it in fear I'll dick everything up.  In any case I'm doing the TOC.bin update now.

On a related note, I am also fiddling with pulling meshes out of the game to tweak and play.  I pulled Ashley's default uniform mesh out using Explorer (into a psk file) and imported that into Blender (v2.66) and this is the result:
social.bioware.com/1301788/albums/1330848/254758

Obviously, there are "artifacts" but I'm wondering if these are supposed to be there, something to do with the way the model is used by the Unreal engine or something or if these artifacts are truly anomalous and due to errors in the import to Blender.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately I do not know much about modeling. You could ask around on the ME3 explorer forums, if you haven't already.

Thanks anyway and apologies for slightly diverting the topic.  I believe I begin to understand the issue.  In blender if you change to "pose mode" then you can manipulate the body mesh (in some odd ways) by grabing one of the "artifacts" that each has a body part name.  One manipulates the knees, another the lower back, etc.  So it appears that these things are tied to how the model is moved/manipulated in-game.

Thanks again for the dialog fix and answering my questions.

My ultimate goal in all this is to "fix" the horrific "sexy" dresses in the game.  Particularly Ashley's dress in the Citadel DLC.  HORRIBLE.  Like Allers.  Ashley suddenly takes on a rather mishapen form (so does Brooks) when in the dress - big butt, strange over-exagerated arch to the back, tummy out, etc.  Mishapen and lumpy.  Ashley (and Brooks) simply do not have lumpy and mishapen bods - they have spectacular bods - so I hope to learn how to manipulate the actual meshes to the point that I can make Ash look as good in a dress as she does in armor and her default uniform.  Futzing with the actual mesh models is the only way since doing retextures simply changes the color of lipstick on the pig as it exists.

Not Ashley's dialog, but Ashley related (and probably Kaidan)
Doctor Chakwas have a line "It's good to see Williams/Alenko again", but she never says it after Coup.

In response to OP:

Just wanted to bring this to your attention. Have been trying to work up the never to begin, but I don't even know where to start, in bringing this dialogue back.

.
Its the Ashley and Liara bugged convo after the attempted Citadel Coup.

Is it possible to get these fixes onto the X360? I'm about to do a final canon playthrough, and it'd be good to have these in there.
(Looking at this http://me3explorer.f...-xbox-t333.html made me ask - not that I understand half of it...)

Cheers! (And thanks for all the hard work!)

Making some progress on the memorial wall scene...got the missing lines to play without a black screen. Not done yet, though.

Apparently the pre-CerbieRaid romance scene is missing bits too:

How did I miss this thread? Little things like that. That get cut but make a world of difference when put back in.

Like watching the release cuts of LOTR movies. They are ok until you watch the extended cuts and it's like wow, now it makes sense here and there.Where before it seemed like something was missing.
