Even though the Citadel DLC made me feel better, I'm sticking to my guns and telling Bioware to buzz off with Mass Effect particularly because Casey Hudson IS STILL INVOLVED.
I do NOT want him fired, I just don't want him involved with anything Mass Effect because I can't trust him not to repeat what he did with ME3.
DA3 is definitely on my wait-and-see list because I like what David Gaider has been saying.
But preordering games from Bioware as whole? Nope.

I think it's safe to say anyone who is still posting/reading the forums will buy ME4. We're all hooked on the series, even the people who come here just to moan.

A) I'm not getting invested in another story like I was with Mass Effect. That ending just hurts too much and now we know we can't count on Bioware to go back and fix the mistakes.

Besides with Torment, Project Eternity, Wasteland 2 and other such games being developed my time and money will be limited, so I will not spend them on sequels of games that disappointed me.

If they can give me more of the quality of characters that they have thus far, then I'll support them all the way. And I'd love to see another couple like EDI and Joker.
So I'm on board for whatever they have coming up next.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen less disappointing things in the U-Bend of my toilet than the initial ME3 ending. However, the EC sufficed for me - it just came too late as an apology. Just because it didn't have a happy ending isn't a good enough reason to completely write off what was otherwise a great series of games, in my opinion.
I feel that Bioware has largely learnt its lesson (unless its PR is staffed by faeces-flinging chimpanzees), so issues such as continuity errors, plot-holes and dues ex machinas won't appear again. And I think disconnecting the next game from Shepherd's Trilogy is the best way forward, so we can enjoy the Mass Effect universe that I've grown to love, and try to forget about the Starchild.
I don't really care what ending it follows, as it won't be -my- game, no different from doing a different play-through like renegade vs paragon. For example: I picked synthesis because EDI was one of my favourite squadmates, if she wouldn't be in the picture anyway, then it's no issue to me if Destroy was picked.

That being said I'll probably still buy the next ME because the journey was pretty freaking awesome, but I'll hold off until a week or two after release date to see what the reviews say about the ending.

ME's my favourite ever game series, so I would have thought so, but seeing as I know pretty much nothing about the next game at this point, I guess I'll wait and see. Loving the universe as much as I do, though, it'll have to be some pretty awful details to make me not want to play it (MP-only, that sort of thing).

I can't imagine buying another Mass Effect title that doesn't continue Sheperd's story. It's simple, it's selfish and it's entirely true.

This actually sums up my attitude fairly well at this point.

I am still awaiting a first response from a post over a month ago. If EA aren't going to support tech issues then I can do without the hassle and forget about having anything to do with EA Games
As regards Mass Effect generally? The trilogy got better and better until the rubbish ending options and the multiplayer nonsense, so why bother with ME4? No Shepherd = little point in continuing! What next??Romance for Male Shep produces offspring? "Son of Shepherd/" (female romance interest) or Shepherd junior Asari? Shepherd the God moves thu the UNiverse? Puhleeease!!!
As regards Bioware? I've been a Bioware fan and contributor to these forums for over 10 years, and a player from the BG days
Now I've become disenchanted so likely won't bother any more with Bioware.
What a shame. This could have been a great game in the spirit of BG but is now ruined by EA corporate policies and it's lack of care to it's existing customers
If EA doesn't give a sh*t why should I?

The next Mass Effect is being developed by the team who behind the Citadel(please correct me if I'm wrong) and they were behind the MP(which was hated when announced by was actually quite good when all was said and done)
However, if the next Mass Effect is a prequel, either during a previous cycle or even playing as Garrus during his C-Sec/Archangel days then I will probably still get it but it won't be a "must have" I wouldn't mind these games as a spin-off or even an expansion but I don't want the next franchise to be in the past.
I will also be giving the next game amiss if it is COD/BF clone. Yes there was aspects of that in ME3 but it still had a good story and I could still shape my experience. I want to live in the universe not be given a running tour.
I have said it before, A Mass Effect that somehow carries over my save data, and that takes place after the events of ME3 is a system seller to me. Hell a Mass Effect that doesn't take my data over but takes places in the future is still a next gen system seller to me.
