Definitely won't pre-order. Apart from that, I'll see closer to the time. ME3 SP is dead to me, but I've had more than my money's worth with MP, so I know BioWare can still produce a kick-arse game.

I guess you could say I came for the SP, but staid for the MP. Funny that?!?

I might buy it, it really depends on what kind of story we are looking at for 4 (and whether or not quarians will be in it).

Ehh, I don't know. I wish they would have given the ME universe a breather before making the next game. I really loved the series but it's a new studio so new people, not about Shepard (which is fine but they need a good lead for the next event), and some of what I'm hearing being thrown around terrifies me. I really don't want an MMO and I sure as heck don't want a re-boot or an 'alternate-universe' version. Those hurt so bad to hear it's not even funny. So, as it stands now, no but I will wait and see what comes up. I can't judge what hasn't been made yet.

probably will.
but i wish Bioware would give us small info . If it's something people react negatively at , better they know it while they can still make changes, and if it's good, well that would just increase chances for pre orders.
Not that BW will build a game on what people say, but they claim fans have a certain influence...so.

No.

I'll only be able to play another Mass Effect game if it's small like ME: Infiltrator. Where I can get in a few mins of gameplay here and there...no matter where I am at.

I don't see myself sitting down for hours and playing a full blown ME game without my Shepard.

I already had my character within the Mass Effect Universe. I would rather watch other characters do things instead of controlling them. So I would rather watch a tv series or movie than play another ME game with a different protag.

Disclaimer: I'm not wanting Shepard back...as I believe his story ended for good reason and he shouldn't be back. It's just that I can only get immersed in games where my character is my own.

I missed the whole Mass Effect hype train when they were being released. Hell I didn't buy/play the ME games until July of last year. Got hooked and addicted immediately, so when this next one comes out it'll be nice to be apart of that excitement (weird reasons I know) BUT if ME Next has some of the same issues that I felt the originals had, I will be a tad bit let down.

Funny story, last time I had this exact game experience was with Final Fantasy. I didn't play any of the games until they had been released for quite a while starting with VII until I played up to X and decided "Oh man these games have been homeruns, its time I got in on these when they are newly released!"... And then X-2 happened :-T

Don't be a X-2 next Mass Effect lolz

Hard to say. Not right away and not without lots of good player reviews, but I don't buy things on release day anyway. But (assuming it'll have a new protagonist with a story that continues after the next game) I'd be wary of the story ending in the crapper again, even if "4" is brilliant. Might be better not to get invested.

This thread is just... plain stupid, until we know what "ME4" exactly is, how can be sure weather we like it or not. These threads almost always end up in ending bashing. Again asking people if they want to buy a product the developers doesn't even know what is yet is just unproductive.

If it's not a prequel.

If it looks more like ME1 than ME3.

I will buy.

If it has enough features that interest me, then I'll likely purchase it. If it has several features that interest me, and if they appear to be very well done, then I'll likely preorder it. I don't see how it can be any simpler.

Oh, and Spartas? Clevernoob is anything but "unbiased." Also, the last link leads to a song.

Regardless of his words, numbers are what they are. ALthough I dont agree with his optimistic view... I really want a gaming crash. Gives me the option to buy into gaming companies. PLus it would please me...

yes, it would...

ANd the last one... I did not know lol they must have changed it.

Maybe if it's under 7 dollars on steam...

Wait, that would never happen.

Except the numbers can easily be duplicates and tend to come from very passionate and concentrated demographics. The polls are essentially biased, simply because they all draw from the same fairly homogenous sample group. The wording of most of these polls, as well as the relatively small sample size further invalidates them. It's messy, to say the least.

We'll see. I liked ME3 (even the original endings), but I'm not sure where else there is to go with the series. I can think of plenty of places I'd like it to go, but I'm wary of the fact that many of the original developers are gone.

Completely agree, but like a comedian said best. Even if is hitler the one inviting me to his show, it is my obligation to go and speak against him on his on turf... if I dont I dont exist , you failed to voice your opinion on the oppositions of data.

Shame on you. Forgot the comedians name...he is always in that show, or old show "no bull****" type of thing. Glasses, bottom heavy... pony tail.

But messy, I like that... messy is the best word.

I still dont get why the last link is a song now...:crying: it was a beutiful explanation by some lit teacher... just beautfil.

IF ANYONE FINDS IT PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

If the game clearly looks good and gets a lot of praise and hype then yes.

Holding grudges cause you wasn't happy with the ending to the last game isn't going to accomplish anything or be healthy.

As of now - Nope.

Few reasons for that.

1 - Primarily the ending of ME3 was perhaps the worst ending to a story in any form of storytelling I've ever encountered. I'm sure there are worse endings to stories, but I haven't encountered them.

2 - Bioware games, IMO, are trending down in quality. From ME2 to DA2 to TOR to ME3, these are, IMO, the 4 worst games Bioware has ever made, and they're the most recent 4. I do not have faith ME4 will be part of an upward swing (nor DA3).

3 - EA/Origin - I like my Bioware games on PC (though I played ME's on Xbox - the rest are all PC). I do not want Origin ever installed on my system.

4 - Casey Hudson - even though he's moving to something else, he's still involved in the ME universe, and as far as I can tell, he thought ME3 had a good ending. I plan to steer clear of anything with his name on it forever.

Of course good USER reviews could change my mind (and not a review by any paid reviewer), but they'll have to be REALLY good for me to ever give money to Bioware again.

Yes, I'll be keeping an eye out for it, although it's probably still years away yet. There are a few changes that I'd want to see in the next Mass Effect game though, like:

- Having the neutral dialogue option in the game, in ME1 and ME2 if I didn't want to go with the top or bottom dialogue option then there was usually a middle ground that I could choose instead, but I couldn't do this in ME3.

- Having less autodialogue, I'd prefer it if the amount of autodialogue was brought back down to ME2 levels, since I feel that ME3 had a bit too much and I had less control over what Shepard said, and that ME2 got the balance better.

- Having the multiplayer (if there is one) be separate from the single-player. In ME3 I found it annoying that I had to play the multiplayer to boost my galactic readiness score when all I wanted to do was continue on with the single-player story. I'm glad the Extended Cut DLC fixed this, it should have been like that to begin with in my opinion.

In general though, I'm looking forward to it whenever it gets released, I hope Bioware take their time with it. :)

Yes, although most likely not preorder unless it looks amazing.

If it is more TPS combat, then I will definitely get it for the combat and inevitable multiplayer.
I hold no expectations for the plot/story, so may be pleasantly surprised by it.

If it is an RTS, I'll pass - I'm not a fan of RTS.

No. It has nothing to do with ending. I knew ME3 and it's DLC to be my last purchases from EA back when I pre-ordered it.

First of all a ME4 that is based ME3s ending is just not possible, beside having a prequal is in my books not a good idea becuase in DA2 it was all based on something that has already happened , so your choices didnt matter.

but again in ME3 nothing did

so not really i wont buy it

I probably will buy it, but I won't preorder it (Having been burned by the SimCity preorder). I may wait a couple weeks after release to get a feel for how others are reviewing it first though.

Admittedly it will be tough for me to picture a ME universe without Shepard, although I suppose it remains to be seen whether any of the other characters will make an appearance.

If the next ME has a great story, great characters, and a great atmosphere then I'll be sold.

The ending of the trilogy doesn't factor into me buying ME4 or not, mainly because it's a 15 minute ending in a 100 hour movie.  Those 99 hours and 45 minutes were pretty awesome and makes up for the ending.  Although I can see how console players would take the ending harder than PC players since they can't install MEHEM to help with it.
