Depends on what anti-piracy measures they'll be using.

Yeah, I'll jump for it most like.

However, even though I usually shrugged off the negative connotations people had for EA and it's business practices, I'm beginning to get leery.  With EA, Bioware, and Microsoft in general (although my reservations about MS stem mostly from rumours about their next-gen system).  I have no problems with the price of games going up $10 (as some are suggesting will happen), but other business practices have me worried:  mostly DLC and microtransactions.  I DO NOT like it.  I think it's dangerous for this type of practice to become mainstream.  And that seems to be the direction EA, Bioware and Microsoft will be pushing forward even further.

depends, Bioware needs to prove themselves to me again quite honestly and IF Mac is again at the writing helm I might not buy it at all unless it gets insanely good FAN reviews

I would imagine that the chances of Mac lead-writing the ME game are right up there with the likelihood of Elvis riding the Loch Ness monster up the Thames, with Jimmy Hoffa riding shotgun....

I would have said the same about Bioware ripping off content from a game to sell it as DLC once....or waste resources on MP

Neither of those examples are as suicidal as giving Supermac free reign....ever again.

No. My reasons... BioWares false promises, claim of art, and how they responded to fans that are unhappy with what they didn't deliver on. Cussing at fans on Twitter? Epically lame.

I probably will, though it won't be the same.... A sequel almost seems impossible with the different endings. A prequel seems more likely.

A sequel is actually fairly simple:

200 years or so post-Reaper. That should put the tech not that far ahead of where they were in ME3.

- Destroy-- Reapers done. AIs built again (No, not the same ones as before)

- Control -- Shepalyst goes Deist. Rebuilds everything and then takes the Reapers and leaves.

- Synthesis-- Crazy AI is crazy and "final evolution of life" is nonsense. After a few generations the "new DNA" is basically destroyed from within by the basic demands of ACTUAL evolution.

Easily done.

I have no real interest in a prequel. I MIGHT still buy it.

I WILL buy a sequel.

Can't make that call, until I get some info on the next game.

I probably will, unless they pull a 343 and ruin the great story they have going

Yup, pretty well an automatic buy unless they come out with something before hand that really rankles me.

Definitely. I've enjoyed every other BioWare game, with Mass Effect being my favourite gaming series.

I'd actually prefer the next game to distance itself from Shepard. As much as I love the character, I'm ready for something new. The ME Universe is big enough to sustain itself without Shepard's presence.

It is gonna be very difficult to entice people to buy a Mass Effect game without Shepard and crew. Unless they bring him/her back to life again lol

Probably, but I thought I'd give the Synthesis fans a generation or two of their green paradise before the bubble inevitably popped. Posted Image

I think it's safe to say anyone who is still posting/reading the forums will buy ME4. We're all hooked on the series, even the people who come here just to moan.

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on when it takes place, whether or not it is still an RPG (use that term loosely now though...), and what the plot is going to entail. It is not an automatic buy like ME 2 and 3 were after 1, but it certainly isn't something I will ignore completely.

And yeah even with all the problems, ME3 is still a great game imho and better than most of the stuff out there!

I'll probably buy it. I do love the ME universe. I just some of the characters don't get screwed over like a few did in ME3.

Yes, when it's on sale or I have a coupon or something. No way I'm paying full price and I won't pre-order it either. I'll also check and see the reviews from credible sites and user reviews. It's sad, because Bioware for me used to be part of the untouchables.

Nah... Probably wont. It will be more MP than SP. I'm not that into multi's. Also you're gonna have to get a new platform to play it. A lot of creds to fork over for a game with a 50/50 chance of succeeding.

No, I can't trust BioWare with my immersion anymore, especially while Casey Hudson has any say in the game.

They didn't just screw the pooch with ME3, they murdered it, emptied it, stuffed it with dynamite and then screwed it until it exploded.

HOWEVER, if BioWare start making their games more mod friendly I'd definitely consider it!

Agreed, especially with what they did with Ash from ME1 to ME3.  It's hard to get immersed with characters when they end up messing up the characters.
