I'm newbie when it comes to this so sorry if some questions stupid:) I did coding when I did computing in highschool many moons ago and have hatred for it that knows no bounds so that's why I never used gibbed before.

This is about gibbed using Xbox saves as my PC is less powerful than my tablet most of the time.

- Is it banable offence or is there some things allowed and others not?
- I have purchased all appearance packs but could I use gibbed to get N7 hoodie? (Preordered collectors edition 7 months in advance only to lose it when the Gamestation Vs EA thing happened)
- Does the Xbox version allow head morphs?
- If Bioware has some legal problems with some of it would changing the VS in ME1or gender be allowed?

Posting here as most of the posts on subject got closed with the romance forum.

1. Bioware actively encourages modding Single Player. Don't touch Multiplayer. The GSE can't affect MP, anyway.
2. Not as far as i'm aware. The GSEs can't be used to bypass DLC. The content has to be there for the Editor to see it.
3. If it's the same editor, of course. It's just another variable.
4. See No. 1.

Thanks for the info was a bit unsure of the legal implications, it was just to more personalise my Shepard and his back story - even using the editor to increase credits seems pointless to me so MP not issue.

BioWare is fine with modding, as long as you don't gain an unfair advantage over others in MP (Altering weapon damage in MP, for example). Seeing as how the save editor only affects singleplayer, and is modding at the most minimal levels, you're not going to get banned for using it.

You can give yourself the N7 Hoodie and N7 Defender armor for those are inbedded in the main game, but other weapon packs are unavailable.  You might even be able to find the N7 and Pre-Order Weapons, but I am not 100% sure.

Regardless of what Bioware think, Microsoft consider any save editing to be system tampering.

So think very carefully if you are willing to chance enforcement action on your account.

Of course the risk may be small, especially if you don't unlock achievements by means of the editor, but it is one that is still present.

- Open save from file
- Plot>ME3>Armour>Flags

You then get the checklist for all available in-game armours. Just tick off the N7 Hoodie, and/or N7 Defender armour, and then save your file and put it back onto your xbox. When you load up your game you'll get an email on your private terminal saying that you've got them, and they should then be selectable via the armour-select facility in your quarters.

Since we're on the subject of Gibbed, what part of the appearance is the code for the eyebrow color? I can't for the life of me figure it out.

Thanks for the info I had a look at the options in gibbed and while fun without ability to do the advanced appearance changes (textures etc) like on PC it seems to be a risk to my xbox gamer profile I am not willing to take. So am off to sacrifice the crew with the Genesis 2 DLC, which will probably lead me to replay entire trilogy just to save Ash, crew and Kasumi.

Though in all honesty when the new xbox comes out and original goes offline i am so going to use gibbed :)

I really wouldn't worry about your gamer profile. I've never heard of anyone being taken to task over using gibbed. I'm not even sure that M$ have the ability to detect an edited game save anyway.

Create a new profile that is not Live-enabled. Keep your saved game on a removable USB and only play them when your console is disconnected from the Internet and on that profile.

That's honestly more protection than you would need; Microsoft don't care about anything you're planning to do. They are on the look out for people who use removable storage to cheat the achievement system and manipulate their gamerscore or to give themselves unfair advantages in online games (both are easily detectable), not for people modifying import flags that won't even be detected because they can be manipulated in exactly the same way by importing a saved game with the appropriate flags set.

You have no idea how paranoid I can be so thanks for the info I never thought of that. It wouldn't be for achievements or credits an ways more a way to play as low level Shep with past decisions as it's too easy even on Insanity to start at level 30.

Would be great for future games if you had ability to customise to extent PC users can, maybe as a download like genesis solely for customisation or even a system to allow character mods via BSN which could be uploaded to the game.

Sorry if this has been answered, but I was wondering if you could advance the story with Gibbed so that when you create a new Shepard with Gibbed, you don't have to start in Vancouver and go through from the beginning. Is there a way to create a new Shepard and then start the game when, for example, you're arriving at Sur'Kesh to get Eve?

Start the new game. Edit the plot. Edit location. It's a lot easier to just download a save from someone else though.

Thanks for the tip, is there a collection of them somewhere?

There was going to be one, at some point and time. But I believe the entire effort is a work in progress or MIA right now.

Any idea where I could get one then? or a tutorial on how to edit the plot integers and stuff in gibbed?

You'd have to ask around the forums. Maybe they'll even give you one. I don't know, honestly.

Another gibed question, right now I'm trying to edit the plotints, but it doesnt seem to matter what I do, when i edit the IDs the game restarts itself. For example, Im starting with maleshep and automatically got Ashley as my squadmate (whom i cannot stand!) so I used gibbed to change it to Kaiden, but the game restarted and Kaiden showed up at the start instead of Ashley. So the mod worked, but why does it restart the game from the beginning credits? Isn't adjusting the plotints and IDs supposed to advance you?

Or maybe I'm just not getting what its supposed to be doing. Ideally, I'd like to avoid going to Mars and Palaven again, I thought I could mod it so those missions would be completed but if that's possible, I'm not clear on how to do it.
