 Are you an Insta-Gel kinda guy or do you wait it out or just never Gel?

Me.  With friends I'll usually hang in there unless it's an objective wave, someone else goes down or there are happy feet about.  With PUG's I tend to Gel much faster (probably too fast tbh) if I've not been revived when the timers about half way I figure no-ones coming.  Unless I'm down to my last one then I tend to leave it until the last second.

Entirely situational. If on platinum and execution enemies are on the field, especially marauders immediately. If there are instakill enemies around I hesitate a little. If I'm playing the talon, I may lay there a while for a nade to regenerate.

I pretty much go with your logic. On an objective wave I instagel, with friends or not. Otherwise I use your logic. In pug, sometimes there is another guy with a mic ( I always use mic ) and they will say they are on their way, but I never let myself get stomped out in PUG and will gel if the guy does not get to me. No wonder that you will use more gels in PUG than with friends.

it depends.
i wait it out to see if i get revived. if i don't i gel.
normally costs me a gel since it happens with like 4 enemies left

If sync kill enemy on top of me, wait
If medigel count more than 3, instagel
If wave is less than 9 and medigel count less than 3, wait for enemies to go away and play defensively
If wave 9+ and medigel count less than 3, instagel, situational

Given that I frequently drop as a 0 fitness GI, I'll wait until I'm about to get curbstomped.

If I just got melee'd by a flying crab, I'll usually wait a few seconds for it to move onto my teammates before gelling.

But there is nothing I despise more than having a teammate rush right into the flying crab, revive me, they get hit by the melee, and I stand up just in time to get my head bitten off

I generally wait for as long as I can to be revived, with the exception of objective waves, or if I'm surrounded by enemies (generally I can hit an ops pack, cloak, and run after I revive if I'm surrounded).
I'm also guilty of rage-gelling if I do something stupid.

Usually it's 4x before wave 6 and the rest for 7-11. Most of my deaths are from large groups of autofire units anyway, i'm fairly good at not dying during boss spam waves.

well if i die in a crowd of stomp happy things. or if i am alone on a objective wave or last standing in general or to revive one that died trying to revive me 7+6 mostly do the trick. and never before wave 5 or on 7

I gel out of shame when i fail spawn rush.
Objectives, and if somebody from the team is dead already.

Unless I die right near teammates, I usually gel right away. Rage gel has become a bad habit of mine from playing with randoms. The team wipes way too often if I bleed out.

i think everyone is guilty of this.  Also, when taken out by a maurader, then waiting for a revive that does not come, gel, get elbowed to death by said maurader, gel --- it's rocket time for that MF maurader!
