LTP without being host.. I do fine off host with him, just got to survive that first wave were your BC isn't responding as well as you like

You're welcome
Anyway, to all those saying that the Slayer sucks off host... That's not entirely true. Sure, it's miles better on host, but even off host it can be used in a pretty good way. Take a look here. Obviously 3 of us were playing off-host, and yet the game wasn't bad at all. Sure, lots of frustration when you die doing stuff you know you could have pulled off on host, but still... It's not as bad as you are all picturing it.
^^
too many using the 'it must be host crutch' I never even knew or even noticed a difference until reading it here

I like him (not my favorite class, though), but he is unplayable off-host. Those that insist on playing him off-host are almost always noobs that do nothing but spawn BS.
if you're on PS3 add me -jamdjedi-and you host and I'll prove you totally wrong

I can fire all my PD's very quickly on host, off host there is a .5-1 second time when I'm finished firing, that I can't fire again. It really reduces DPS.Ganglok3 wrote...

not at all, quite average I would say, no need to have a large E-Peen, if my R-peen is 'nicely sized'
The difference is negligible and like I said once you get passed the first wave or two. (I ALWAYS seem to die more in wave 1-2 just getting a feel of the slight lag) The class plays the same..
PD is easy to aim.. I understand the lag issue, its apparent when you try to do the super Vanguard ninja crap and are like 'I pressed it I'm PRESSING IT-FIRE DAMNNIT!' then you die .
this is true every, time off-host I play the Slayer-I die mostly in waves 1-2 and perhaps wave 10-if I'm getting jumping and crazy.
Slayer is a great package carrier and can hit objectives quickly because of the wall phasing and speed

He's pretty squishy for a Vanguard, so you have to be a bit careful with PD.
He's not that easy to do well with. I've seen people fail miserably with this kit, meaning: dying a lot.
Those are some reasons I can imagine.
Squishy?
Before the Juggy jumped into the fray, the Slayer was the only char who could hold his ground against a couple of Geth Primes and two (or more) Hunters/Pyros.

Only if you can light melee spam properly without getting staggered by Hunter McScumbag.

Of course. Cancel the third light melee into a Biotic Charge and you are nearly invulnerable.
