I have to agree with some BSNers. I really wanted this character badly before I got him, but once I got him he wasn't all that great. And although, I think staggering and incapacitating enemies besides efficient blast is much more useful, he is sometimes overrated. You can still get hit when you're teleporting which I think is B.S.
Why is the N7 slayer underused?

i never melee with him at all. PD and BC are all you need with him. No joke
I would like to play him solely as a melee build, but it is a joke compared to the shadow melee.
to each their own i guess. I enjoy the Slayer ALOT. Id argue he's my favourite character. His teleporting, BC, PD, and badass look just make me love him.
Completely different story off host though.

Lag can ruin the best kits. Performance is not reliable unless you host. This can lead to many frustrations, including rage gelling, rage missiling, and rage quitting...
Why suffer?
I still think he's a blast to play.

I find him boring for some reason. I love playing the Asari Vanguard and the Krogan Vanguard. But the Slayer I just don't like. I think it is just that one of the things I like most about ME3 is that I can play the other races. Wish there were darker hues for and more colors for the Asari and Krogan.

Apologies need to post again, yes I play as host and I mean...only as Host unless a friend invites me first then I'll likely be on the Destroyer but overall playing Slayer the way I do is very intense but pays off, most fun I have in the game and for those who are actually just "bad" at playing vanguards...if you can get use to playing him with Melee as I do...you can do any vanguard. Host dependent but that's just how it is.
Not only are you likely to get the charge glitch but the smallest bit of lag/slowness in controls which I only get not hosting, gets you downed/killed. ( In any engagement you need to be constantly moving)
Best weapon for Slayer is Acolyte reason - destroys barriers faster than anything and shields sometimes as much. I usually only use that gun and only for that purpose with him, well...also is kinda Slayer's only way of killing Guardians.

I specced out of PD awhile ago because i couldn't really hit anything with it...but i kept seeing threads about how godly that PD is, and make no mistake, i've played with some Slayers that have dominated matches using PD and just BC alone...i mean this guy was killing things before i could even blink...i must've gotten a million assists and no kills.
So i went back into speccing at least 3 levels into PD...i'm still not that great with it..i mostly charge and light melee and BS for bosses and lesser enemies, but i guess it's good to have at the very least to stagger enemies...
The only fault i can see with his character at times is his light melee...at times you can light melee an enemy and the enemy moves out of the way, and you are still doing the animation just cutting air...which can sometimes leave you open for some cheesy sync-kills if a sync-killer is around...i just think his light melee needs better tracking when it's engaged on an enemy...it feel's a bit loose at times...
