The only issue with that is that you don't have Tali. I'm not a Talimancer, but her "you broke their floor" line is worth waiting imo.
Lack of Tali is a mixed blessing...
One of the drawbacks of the DLC is the conga line of squad comments, with everyone scrambling to get a line in...
That is a fantastic line, but it's also worth noting how milked that sushi restaurant line is...
Also...
You can actually swing by, pick up Tali, and repair/upgrade the normandy (Citadel DLC) in preparation for hitting the Geth Dreadnought. The Normandy will be going into Geth space, meaning it will need to be in top fighting form...
It would be suicide to approach a Geth Dreadnought in a ship that needs repairs...

they also had a chance in finishing up all the plot holes and end a lot of the stories that were left unanswered throughout the series which people keep bringing up, bioware had so much running on the citadel and yes it was popular but it still did not qwell the arguments and the distain of bioware as a whole.
for a 4gig ((5gig on pc)) console DLC there was so little content for the size of the package.

Once you visit the Apartment you are locked into the main mission of the Citadel DLC until CloneShep and Brooks are defeated. Omega can go before or after, but not during.

They could have made it a post ending dlc, but I think since there are 4 different endings, it would have been tough finding a good way to start the Citadel DLC.
Especially since Shep doesn't live in all the endings, and that's kind of necessary.
That being said you can always make a duplicate save before Cronos, and play the Citadel DLC after running through the ending. Works just like a post-ending dlc and you use your imagination to make up what happens in between.

That would make sense, if it wasn't for the established fact that the SR2 cannot be detected by the Geth, or hell anyone if the stealth is active. For me, it's not the same mission if not everyone is on board. I just did a renegade playthrough with dead Wrex and dead Kaiden, it felt really empty. Missing Tali on top of that? *Shudder*

It could never work as a post ending DLC as the Citadel gets gutted in all 3 endings, and well in refuse everyone is dead.

Plus Anderson is introduced in the begining of the citadel dlc through vidcom, when his actually supposed to be dead.

Same with Leviathan, I like to do the missions with breaks in between. Though last time I think i had too long of a break since I did the first planet before the Coup. For some reason I was thinking there was more than 3 planets to visit and wanted them to spread out more.

I did it once I got Tali, so I can everyone for the mission. But I think the best time is right after the Coup. That way you can spread out all the Citadel conversations throughout the rest of the game, as well as compete in the Arena. Finishing Sanctuary and then breaking off and doing the whole DLC before finally going after Cerberus seems off to me.
.
That is a good point, I headcanon that we need to sift through the data to find the Cerberus base and it's a good time to get the ship fixed. That's why I want less freedom when to do these DLC campaigns, for the sake of story cohesion. Omega is the worst for this, there is simply no good time to say
'LOL later crew, gonna hang with Aria T'loak for a while, u guise chill on the Normandy or whatever. B back in a week!'

Earth to Palaven
Midgame:
Eden Prime
Tuchanka-Arc
Citadel Coup
Omega
Rannoch-Arc
Leviathan1&2
Beginning of the End:
Thessia
Horizon
Leviathan3
Citadel&Party
Endgame:
Cronos Station
Earth
I like the feel of doing Sanctuary immediately after Thessia, but Leviathan feels tacked on if I leave it all until last. Hence I do the first part before Thessia. (Also makes it feel like Horizon is Shep going off on his own, since Hackett would probably prefer me to sort out Leviathan before following what is little more than a hunch...)
Citadel DLC I like to do as a complete whole, as a week of shoreleave before the finale, making sure that the crew are at their best for the most vital battle of the war. It also works as a good finale itself, if I don't feel like finishing up (although I do very much enjoy Cronos).

the issue is that the destroy ending is cannon, I think it was casey that said at one of the conventions that shepard did survive the destroy ending which means ...... the citadel could have been post ending.
but I still think we will get hit by a surprise DLC sometime soon, I said it since the citadel DLC was found hidden within the DLC's.
the 4 endings are not actually 4, 3 are the exact same just different colours and one where everything gets turned into mincemeat

If MEHEM 0.5 works out, then the party will be best AFTER the final battle...set months after the final fight that defeats the Reapers.

I liked the Omega DLC well enough but...it is kinda bland compared to LotSB and the Citadel. I do wish I could take at least one squadmate with (Ashley...always Ashley) to use in combo with Aria.

Alternatively, I might do as another poster said and finish the game, then go back to do Citadel and headcannon it as post-ending, which works for the most part since the war is barely referenced. And...I don't know maybe Anderson's wounds weren't fatal or something haha.

Ahhh. I thought you could visit the strip as long as you didn't read the message from Joker.

Cronos Station

At first glance, if I were to break up the missiona nd the party, this is probably how I'd do it.
I'd like to take a better gander at it, bu this seems to follow pretty well. I esp. like that you have Leviathan near the end, as I feel that is a very climatic point in the whole trilogy/saga, considering now you have a better handle on the Reapers and also they are theoretically your greatest single War Asset.
