Hi all,

I've been wrestling with this for two days now. I run the toolset and everything is fine until I get to installing the MS SQL part. It hangs on "setting server network default settings". I'm on Windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I have tried following the wiki troubleshooting and I can't seem to figure this out. I even tried to install MS SQL 2005 first and then run the toolset and still no go. Does anyone have a suggestion on what I can do to fix this please?

Hey Megami hope this works for you

1. Make sure you have administrative rights on the computer to install SQL Server Express.
2. Download Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 3 (w7 needs SP3 package):
http://www.microsoft...&displaylang=en
Run SP3 then install SQL2005 then install SP3 again. That will install SQL 2005 on Win7.

If it still fails, examine the error messages logged into the setup log files which are located in the %ProgramFiles%\\Microsoft SQL Server\\90\\Setup Bootstrap\\LOG\\ folder. For more information about how to View and Read SQL Server Setup Log Files, please see
