I can't help but feel out classed, so I'm going to take a step back and complete the Lone Wolfe challenge two more times on Unknown/Unknown/Gold and attempt to beat my first Unknown/Unknown/Platinum Solo hopefuly by the end of next week. I have an idea what kit(s) and builds that I'm going to try (mostly my "go to" platinum builds) to push myself.
Running with Disciple yesterday really brought some things together for me, but it also highlighted most of my weak points. These have to be addressed immediately. I feel these weaknesses prevented me from making it into SpEcTeRx a while back.
Being a Gold player moving up to Platinum I am astonished at how little Gold strategy translates into Platinum. This is probably my single biggest road block. Kiting doesn't even work the same on Platinum. After seeing how Disciple moves around the maps, approaches spawns/enemies, ect. I have a much better idea of how to tackle this Platinum Solo.
I had developed into a "hit and run" style player via my Gold solo experience vs the "run and gun" style that Disciple utilizes. Until the matches yesterday I couldn't 'run and gun' without getting mowed down which stangley seemed like a simple skill, but not on Platinum. I have to say, after three duos, My play style as an entirety has evovled.
Guys, what else can/should I improve upon here? You two have been instrumental in helping me step up to platinum; however, I still have a ways to go.

Tonight. We can duo Gold till you're comfortable then step up to Platinum.blackproject18 wrote...
Thanks Nuke, I have a lot of catching up to do still. It just seems when things go well for me, it is fluid almost easy mode. On the other hand, when a match takes a turn for the worst, I struggle to recover. You two somehow almost always gain the upper hand again. I have yet to be able to do that as consistantly as you two. Yesterday was not my best to begin with, be it an off day or something. Those last couple matches I made some really rookie mistakes and it cost me. I can and should do much better. You willing to run a few more sometime?

I need to get a game in with you as well. I've been wanting to for a while but always have friends or still trying to solo Plat with the Talon.
Same with me man. I get pulled in all kinds of different directions as soon as I get on.

I should probably play with you while our connections allow us to play in the same lobby. Do you want to do serious runs or your usual masochistic runs? That is if you still play with male gamers.Disciple888 wrote...

Ok that last part sounded wrong.

In other words, I'm overthinking the situation with a hint of tunnel vision which I am uncertain how that came about again... Target fixation (aka tunnel vision) used to be my number one issue, apparently it is back. Ugh....
That is why I switched to playing mostly power classes versus weapon classes... Now I'm back to running weapon class builds, time to adapt, improvise, and overcome. Oorah!

I have lousy tech skills, can I just do two of the three?Beerfish wrote...
Just do what most of this board does. Play with inexperienced people with lousy set ups. Score the highest, take a screen shot and then complain about it.

Just have a good time and try to incorporate a few things that you see that people do better than you. There are strengths and weaknesses to everyone's game.blackproject18 wrote...
On a side note Nuke, you are and were 100% correct. I'm overly analytical in match which is the root cause of my ingame distress. I began to see that for myself yesterday on Noveria with Disciple. Being analytical and aware are two completely different concepts that each have their place and time.
In other words, I'm overthinking the situation with a hint of tunnel vision which I am uncertain how that came about again... Target fixation (aka tunnel vision) used to be my number one issue, apparently it is back. Ugh....
I think several people could tell you my situational awareness sometimes isn't there. I sometimes have a lot going in the background. I try to keep tabs on all eight enemies though and account for where they are all the time. Prioritize targets but keep your eyes open for what's happening around you.

Lmao, true that. I need to chill a little. Keeping track of all eight enemies at once would be most beneficial. Duo's are unique beings the spawns move differently from a full lobby game or a solo. My first Platinum duo was ours on London Nuke. That being said I'm really green at duo's still. My target acquisition on Platinum also needs work, but I am improving. Once again yet another thing that does not translate from Gold to Platinum.
I don't see how you play so well with so much going on in the background.
Edit: Dur-Da-Dur-typing

When I started playing ME3 Multiplayer for the first time, like everyone else, I was considered a 'noob' and I actually felt like one as I had no clue of what to do. That is until I started watching people who knew how to play the game and began to learn from my mistakes.
Youtube was a great source of information along with practice, eventually I overcame the 'Tunnel Vision' I quickly got into the habit of, I'd see a target and then I'd only concentrate on that totally disregarding anything else, team mates yelled and for good reason, it was then when I realized I had to step my game up, grow a set of virtual balls and man up.
My situational awareness improved drastically, I started targeting the main threats on the map which would make a difference to the enemy I'm facing I.E Marauder's buff Cannabals, Husks so the Marauder gets taken out first.
Brutes are massive but slow, if I spot a Ravager then the latter gets taken care of first for obvious reasons, Brutes are dealt with before Banshees etc.
Map awareness is also something to consider and plays a major part in survivability if you happen to find yourself in a solo situation, of course you'll probably already know this due to playing with people who know how to move around a certain map, control the map, control the enemy.
Knowing the enemy is also a factor to be considered, knowing their strengths and weaknesses can give you or the team you're rolling with the advantage, this is all common sense as I'm sure you already know.
The most important rule or advice as someone has already given is have fun, if you're not having fun then the entertainment value decreases and the rage meter can inflate dramatically. There's no harm in asking for advice on loadouts and tips so if you keep on doing what you're doing, I'm sure you'll improve you game ten fold.
Take it easy.
