So, I rolled out of bed, and before getting ready for the day, I thought I'd do a game or two.  Just to wake up, I started with a silver and  a geth trooper. Diciple, hurricane and a flamer.

Join mid game, reactor hazard, hear the pleasant sound of a scion's evil blaster.  Okay, collector, fine.  "TEAMMATE FLATLINED" (or whatever) gets called.  So I run over just as the scion hucks some grenades.  Okay, I think, later waves...

I burn down the possessed scions and hang out with the team.  Wave 3.  Huh .... never had a possessed scion on wave 2 of silver.  Shrug.  Circle hack at the far end of the reactor, cool.  Wave 3 silver hack is easy... 

Was that a bloody banshee scream?  WTF?  Hit escape, oh crap ... collector platnium.  I'm running with nothing but an engineering kit ... well, I guess, nut up or shut up, I had never done platnium before ... always a little nervous.  Gold geth, reaper, and ceberus, yeah, Gold collector, not so much.

I always knew the geth trooper was powerful, but wow.  We all wiped on wave 4, but still that little robot  with the lighter sure can do some damage.  

On the plus side, I sure woke up quickly, and I am no longer nervous about platnium...

Congrats dude. I specced out of Flamer to play with a high defense build but uh... maybe not the best idea. What's your build?

Mine is a defensive build too...

Flamer: reach/damage/armor damage
Fortification: durability/power synergy/durability
Hunter mode: nothing
Net AI: damage/damage/reduce weight (this wasn't the best choice)
Adv Hardware: all health and shield.

I was thinking of dropping the last rank of the passives and trying the first 3 ranks of hunter mode...

I been using the power amps for pistols and smgs, along with the engineering kit. On gold I like using a falcon with cryo.

Awesome.. sometimes I use the geth trooper for soloing platinum! my build is below........

Thanks Adam. I'll give this build a try ... I don't think I'm ready to try soloing platinum...
