  The DAO  epilogue says the warden disappeared one day.  The end of DA2  also has the Seekers of truth mentioning they don't know the whereabouts of the Warden or the Champion.  But Alistair says,  he has to get back to the old ball and chain.  So does this mean the DAO  epilogue is mentioning an event several years into the future after the conclusion of DA2,  and the Warden disappeared after all the events of DA2?  Otherwise I would expect the king to be a little more concerned about it.

The epilogue is heresay and rumour according to Bioware. If i could find the source of this information i would link to it, as they changed a number of outcomes from DA Origins like Leliana being dead for example. But taking the epilogue at face value, yes the disappearance of the warden and Hawke is something that happens after DA2. I certainly don't think its several years after DA2 as that game is almost at an end by the time you meet Alistair.

The disappearing PCs may be part of a story line in the next game as the epilogue of the DA2 guide book seems to suggest as much, as i extrapolate from the information supplied by Bioware in that book.

Thats the offending paragragh from the guidebook.which may or may not mean something,Or of course it could just go nowhere as developer plans change. The loss of the DA2 expansion is rather stark evidence of that. We shall wait and see.

The developers rectonned a number of Epilogue outcomes from Origins and Awakening, which is why (for example) Cullen hasn't gone insane because of the Magi Boon in Ferelden.

Completely forgot about Cullen going insane. But it was seeing how Leliana got better after being killed that was a surprise.

That about sums it up.Sadly does't explain how Hawke and Leliana didn't seem to know each other when you take into account what a small place lothering was.

I don't think that really needs an explanation though. Carver mentions her in Act 1 so it's not like nobody noticed Leliana (and Leliana most likely noticed the Hawke's too but didn't pay very close attention) It's been years and in both of their lives a lot happened. I find it weirder that she remembers Isabela (or that Alistair and Isabela remember one another.) It's been a almost a decade...
