Yeah they were a little silly BUT I do give props to The Witcher's creators for their boldness. Personally I wouldn't want to see that level of er, graphicness in a Bioware game. Mass Effect 1 had a mature enough sex scene. Naked without showing any naughty bits and no stupid "sex whilst wearing underwear". And fade to black is also pretty lame.

I am sorry if I am being skeptical but will bioware allow this? I mean I have no problem with the no same sex(although I like the female sex only) but having nudity in the game won't the company get in trouble with the law?

I do understand the argument that "if you are going to show someone in a situation where they should be naked, then they SHOULD be naked" and I actually agree with this. It drives me nuts in a movie or TV when someone walks out of a shower and they are, say, conveniently wearing a bathing suit for some reason. It is jarring and, more importantly, makes no sense.

However, there are all sorts of ways that a game can be written where you don't have to show naked bodies. I have always been more tantelized by the suggestion of nudity and a wish that I could see what was "behind the curtain" rather than having it thrownat me directly in my face (so to speak). If you want to take off someone's armor it makes sense to me that they have underwear on under it (even leather armor chafes somethign terrible). Now, if you want to take off the underwear for whatever reason, well... I don't think that is a feature we would include. There is plenty of nudity on the internet if you want to find it. We can find better ways to make our games interesting without needing to have to rely on this.

I agree, I never need nudity in a game, there are always tasteful ways to handle a situation in which there might be nudity, if there has to be nudity at all. That said, nudity doesn't offend me in the least, and I think the people that get worked up over nudity and sex in any form of media are more than a little over the top. I think this is why I always bring up the Mass Effect 1 approach to its romance scenes all the time, because it was tasteful, it implied what it was meant to, but it never showed anything and what it did do never overstayed its welcome and never got creepy.

Also the idea that a poll will settle anything once and for all is . . . well you always handled this with a sarcastic comment earlier in the thread.

This point has been made three times in this thread, and each time as if there was only one kind of nude mod available.

Nude males didn't have to be aroused.  If you saw aroused males, then whoever installed the mod wanted to see aroused males.  And unless someone's trying to animate explicit sex, I don't really see the point of aroused male nude mods.

Don't you usually wear more than just underwear under armour, anyway? So if the Darkspawn ripped off the rest of what he wore, I don't see why they'd be careful enough to leave his underwear fully intact. And since the whole thing seemed about humiliation and desecration and I don't think the Darkspawn care much if they touch stained underwear or not, I see even less reason for that.

And as for the bodies in Fort Drakon... Presumably these people were tortured before dying. Taking their dignity could have been one form of torture (and probably got that out of the way for other things... ugh). And why would anyone dress them again after they died? They're simply left there piled up, I don't think giving them some dignity back in death was high on the torturers'/guards' list of things to do.

I support nudity IRL, but have no need of it in my video games. Fade to black works fine for me. I would prefer a fix to the kissing (which looks rather silly in DA:O and DA2).

Actually most Earth cultures bury or burn their dead for the simple reason that not doing so would attract a lot of wild animals and disease carrying stuff. And on The Calling we see that Darkspawn take bodies inside the deep roads, Maker knows why. Templar Stew anyone ?

For something being porn - or even eroticism, it needs a specific context. You can have porn without nudity, and nudity without porn. If the current discussion is about nudity during sex scenes, then it's a whole different matter, and both the title and the poll are utterly misleading.
