Agreed. ME1 is the epitome of 'nudity perfection in a video game', if there is one (to me, anyway). Just enough to get the point across, but still tasteful. classy.

I nearly choked when I saw the nudity in The Witcher 2. For such a well-made game, the naked bits were downright cringe-worthy to me - they were a bit too "in your face". I'm not a prude, but that crosses the line for me.

Poor Geralt got far less ploughing in my game than he did in many others, I'm sure.

It honestly makes my day when people hold up TW2 (a game that I thoroughly enjoyed) as a mature example of how to do nudity in games. The whole "boobies are great, wee-wee's are gross"-vibe in that game can really only be called mature by anyone who is... Um.. Well, whom I don't agree with.

But now that I have you guys here, how does that work?? Did you not notice that she's naked and he's wearing pants? Is it a practical issue, where you reckon it's at least easier for the poor guy to grind a hole in one pair of pants rather than two sets of underware? I'm honestly curious because I see this all the time in this discussion, and I don't get it.

On topic, just fade to black. Sex in games can probably be awesome if done right, but I'm betting it won't be and doing it wrong just makes the whole thing look silly.

You know what, that's a fair point.

When I hold up TW2 for that scene, it's because it feels like they didn't go out of their way  to make it less offensive.  I actually can't remember any other nude scene in that game except for Triss at the beginning and even that scene and the bath scene are blurry in my memory.  Triss pulls Geralt into the bath while he's undressing, right?  Geralt must have been either nude or in his underwear in the first scene though...as I seem to recall him putting on his pants.  Either way, I think both scenes worked realistically.  Even the Mass Effect love scenes were done well IMO, but the DA scenes were way too awdward.  I just don't like to see them sacrifice realism for...what?  It's not like they're going for a Teen rating.

OTOH the ME2 content was very weak... Thane and Shepard just hug awkwardly fully dressed in a bed, and everyone gets a little kiss before suicide mission. ME3 ? Beyond horrid. A dry hump / makeout session in front a glass window in the main lobby of a hospital, complete with moaning and heavy breathing as realistic as..   No, just no. 

I really like some of the "pre" scenes on DA2 like Isabela's removing her dual knives or Fenris pushing Hawke against a wall and..  Anders scene is really sweet though the laying on bed fully dressed was a bit silly.

The "post" scenes are really really awkward in DA2 though. FemHawke's underwear is bigger than my moms!  And long johns ? really ? Made me giggly not aroused or interested.

Still, there is so much better stuff made with people not CGI, and even so much better stuff done in hentai , SL or other media, I see absolutely no reason to have that in a game I'm beheading people and burning their arse with fireballs.

This is an issue for the studio to decide what it wants to do not the community. There are other games you can play to see that in. Bioware doesn't want to do it. They've said it plenty of times before so please stop with all the "please put full nudity sex scenes in!".

Doesn't even feel very related, at least to me. Maybe it's just me but sex, explicit sex, in a videogame feels out of place, like adding Tabasco pepper sauce to my icecream. There is a context where "hot" is tasty, and there is a context where "hot" is weird and awkward.

Full on nudity is, as far as I'm concerned, unnecessary. I'm perfectly capable of headcanon-ing that part to my full satisfaction.

Meh, CGI sex is not my cup of tea but for people who like it, have fun! I just think there are many many many ways to get the kind of content you crave without having to make developers of a completely different kind of product have to spend time and resources making something you will find lame anyway... If you are mature that is. If you are a teenage with raging hormones, then quality doesn't matter, pretty much anything that moves (and a lot that doesn't) already gets you going so why bother wanting more explicit content ?

But hey, if the poll works and you get your wish, good for you
