è capitato a qualcun altro?

hmmm... I'm not sure if this is an italian or international support forum so I'll all an english version:

after the game update of two days ago I had two game crashes, one at the start of a fight and the other opening the characters menu. before the update I played for several games without a single problem so I'm wondering if the issues may be related to the update.

when xbox "freezes" the only solution is physically turn it off and on again.

does anyone else have the problem? thanks.

It's probably an error related to the update for DA:O. You'll have to wait for the patch to come out before you can play DA:O again.

Sorry, I don't speak Italian so I can't translate it for you. :(

no problem about italian, english is ok as well.

I already installed the patch (I guess it was a small file as download was really quick) and the crashes started after that. not sure if it's just a coincidence.

Do you get any error message with the crash?

If your game is just completely freezing with no warning messages or error messages, you have to contact Microsoft or whatever its called where you live.

Go to xbox.com and find their customer support number for your area.

no error message, just a freeze. so my dubt is if it's a game freeze or a console issue. to be honest it only happened twice in about 15 hours of play so my general question is if happens that Xbox crashes sometimes or if it now crashes because game patch made some mess.

I own Xbox only since two weeks so I don't know if freeze is a common saltuary problem or DA patch is responsible for that.

It should not be freezing. If you've only owned it for two weeks, you definitely want to call Microsoft.

Or take it back to where you bought it from and get a replacement (if you can, I don't know anything about how that works where you are. Sorry. :( )

You can try to clear out your console's cache (Will delete the update.) and see if that helps.

Ive had the same problem you are having, only mine has happened since even before the update. Its a strange lockup that you have to shut off the xbox to fix, the big green x box symbol in the middle wont even come up if you press it. Ive wondered about it myself, but it hasnt been anything that has completely ruined the game considering its happened about 4 times out of over 115 hours or so.

It happens with a lot of games at times, I've had two "hard" freezes, and one lockup while loading, the two "hard" freezes happened both times in intense mage battles.

You have to remember, that the 360 doesn't have an operating system that works like the PC ones do, so if an error occurs, you won't get told about it as in windows or whatever and the system freezes, as it can't handle whatever the error is.

The only time you need to worry is if it starts happening frequently and with different games, which most likely means your 360 is getting near to death.

Freezes can and will happen, either due to a software problem, or a temporary hardware glitch, hell even the old cartridge systems could lock up at times, it's nothing new.

Do you have the game installed or not TC?

Well said Hellsteeth, I figured as much myself and wasnt alarmed. Its a bit annoying, but I grew up using mostly PC games, so a freeze once every looong time isnt something that turns me off to a game.

thanks for answer, Hellsteeth. Yes, I've game installed on hard disk. of course 360 is not complex as a pc, I was just expecting it to close the task (game) is any problem occurred, that's all. :]

anyway I got another crash on the game, it doesn't seems related to fights as I got it in the menu.

but all crashes started after last patch, until then everything was perfect so my new question is, until Bioware comes out with a patch to handle this, how can I remove the last patch without loosing my saves? do I have to remove all and reinstall or is there a better way (sort of "uninstall application" of Windows)?

thanks :]

That site I linked you to will instruct you on how to "clear" your cache and delete the update, locksoft.

You can even get the site to translate itself into Italian.

I've seen the link, Chained_Creator, and cleaned the cache but unfortunately (and logically) patches are not installed there but in the game files on hard disk (I presume).

proof is that after cleaning cache patch is still there (and crashes too). that cache is only for temporary files, like in windows.
