Is the Ashley Marksman glitch ever going to get fixed?

It makes ashley basically useless unless you set squaddies not to use powers.

It's still a crappy workaround. Especially considering that marksman actually helps her if you give her a full auto rifle, like the revenant.
OK, I guess I didn't pay attention to that glitch...what is the Marksman glitch? The glitch I DO notice is the concussive shot glitch. In combat it is CONSTANTLY making noise and flickering as if discharging and immediately recharging (instantaneously). So there is a second glitch w/Ash too eh?

That actually sounds exactly like the marksman glitch.Getorex wrote...

This isn't a CTD or MP balance issue so probably won't be fixed, sadly.
I also didn't use marksman in my build at all (partially because i know the bug existed)
I don't play mp at all but i thought i read some where that they are not do any updates or patches of any kind on mp or sp now .

It's a bug that makes Ashley bug out if she has points in marksman where she tries to spam activate it or something, but it doesnt go off. She instead just sits there trying to activate it and wont even shoot.
The only workarounds are to either not put points into marksman on her, which sucks because it's actually usefull on her, or to manually operate squadmates abilities, in which case marksman does not bugout when you have her use it.

I loved ME2 and ME3, things like this on the other hand, are what show me when a developer has jumped the shark. When a company stops supporting a game, leaving it with obvious glitches that probably wouldn't even be THAT hard to fix (supposidly there is a hack fix that people came up with on their own but it disables multiplayer), it's like a slap in the face to people.
Like saying "Well, we got our money, people seemed enjoyed to the game, so were just going to ignore what bugs are left since it's no longer worth our time." The game is barely a year old and already they dropped support? Mission accomplished right?
IMO Games shouldn't drop bug fixing support until, you know, at least all the obvious and persistent bugs are gone. I don't expect games to launch bug free, but I expect them to be bug free by the time that they drop support, especially if they were huge successes.

So unless you're Valve and have tons of money to make the world's best war-themed hat simulator F2P to promote your electronic distribution service there will be no long term support for games.

Ah...OK, I THOUGHT sometimes she was sitting behind cover not doing much fairly often. I guess now I know why. She pops up and uses her powers if I direct her against a target just fine. Perhaps I'll try deactivating automatic use of powers. Even with the bug she does quite well for me. She's practically indestructable whereas I'm always tossing medigel at Tali or Liara...even at Garrus...but rarely at her. She and Vega are tanks.

You know, I was skeptical when people declared that bioware was destroyed when EA bought them. People said it was the end, I thought and still think they were just mad about ME2 being more action oriented than ME1 even though the combat in ME1 was garbage. Even with DA2 which was just a terrible game IMO, I thought it was just a major misstep that can sometimes happen when you take chances on games.

Agreed, and not only is the game only a year old, but especially since they just released new DLC a month ago too, so there's possibly still some new players getting into playing the game.

An easy fix would be to just swap out the marksman ability with Carnage for example. Instead Ash could generate explosive combos with carnage & concussive shot.

I really wish they'd fix this. It's kind of depressing that I can't have my favorite character around for half the game - after she was gone for all of the previous game. The fact that one of her very useful skills is glitched is like rubbing salt in the wound.

Agreed. Leave her out most of ME2, half of ME3, and then when you get her back she's bugged in combat, and a reclusive alcoholic out of combat. Seriously what was Bioware thinking?

Don't get me wrong, I feel for the Ashley fans. She really seemed to have gotten shafted in ME3. Which is ironic considering only 1.2% of players actually have kaidan in their playthroughs and not ash.

You're right, she really did get shafted. I'm still happy I stuck with her all 3 games though, but still theres a bit of disappointment.
Her turning into a reclusive drunk was something I did not see coming. I guess Bioware thought we were shallow and would just be satisfied by her pretty face with her hair down, and her tight suit.

Look on the brightside. They gave fantastic support to the multi-player part of the game.ewhalen wrote...
Apparently the answer is "no". First romance dialog and now Marksman - Ashley shall remain shafted.

A shame they never gave that same attention to the single player isn't it.
