Is the Ashley Marksman glitch ever going to get fixed?

I really wish Bioware would keep some of the team on to finish fixing the bugs that have persisted instead of throwing in the towel and start work on the new game.

What are the odds they will fix something in the campaign? The game freezing going into the illusive mans office, the illusive mans crazy arm glitch on Mars, etc, etc...

They are done with ME support. I hope they support next gen games longer than the current gen.
Is it confirmed that all ME3 support is finished?

The particularly annoying part is that this bug was introduced in patch 1.04. Marksman worked fine at release.Kelwing wrote...
If it wasn't fixed within first six months of release. It will never get touched once it reaches a year post release.
You're missing the point. I have my squad set to not use powers, and I still have to spec out of Ashley's marksman because directing her to use it will cause her to become ineffective in combat.NocturneNight wrote...
Didn't even realize there was a bug as I always turn power usage off - more control over your squad for good combos or lifesaver abilities (conc-shotting that Maurader who's about to whoop my butt because I have to reload). Try it out, it's much more fun I'd wager. I used Ashley's Marksmanship to devestating effect with Revenant.

Uhm. Could you clarify when this happened, or who stated it? The last DLC was just released, it seems odd there wouldn't be anything else after that.
I don't remember any specific messages, but it's pretty evident that there won't be any further updates, unfortunately. It all came to a conclusion when the Citadel DLC and the last multiplayer add-on came out around the time ME3 was released last year. And the weekly operations in the multiplayer were discontinued as well. Bioware have moved on and are now busy with their future projects.
Luckily, I haven't encountered many serious bugs. The worst one, I think, is the ladder glitch in Leviathan, and perhaps the spinning characters in Omega. My sympathies to the ones who have more damaging bugs than that (like some of Kaidan's romance scenes, I think?).

It's not just EA but ubiquitous in software industry - sales make money, so inevitably the focus is making new software rather than maintaining the old versions, and unless there is big business interest (Office, operating systems, etc) you are not getting any kind of long term support.
Horse crap.

Two small developers which still patch their games 4-5 years on. Two small developers which release new content for games that are 4-5 years old.
EA was a small developer once. With your help, we can make them small again.

Did this game sell very badly, because it seemed to have been on sale within the first week.

I am aware of the existence of a few outliers but that doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of companies don't do that. Two small developers which still patch their games 4-5 years on

First of all credit goes towards K_I_R_E_E_K of me3explorer.freeforums.org,
He was kind enough to upload a version of the MassEffect3.exe without the marksman bug. The technical explanation is that its a version of the .exe that ignores the patch updates. Specifically it ignores the changes made to the marksman skill.
It works with all SP DLC release so far (that includes the alternate costumes, new weapons, omega, from ashes, leviathan and citadel dlcs).
I must repeat. This is just the .exe, not the full game assets and such.
Fair warning:
- It is unknown whether this exe contains the fixes for the from ashes glitches.
- It will not work with multiplayer.
- It is recommended that you make a backup of your files, before running for who know what the EA overlords will do in their actions.

BTW: It appears that in this version fire explosion aren't triggered upon detonation. Using ME3 Coalesced editor find "bonlyondeath" and set the value to false. That should allow the explosions to trigger upon detonation.
Also with regards to her bugged romance scene, check out:

It's been stated repeatedly. The only way you missed that is if you haven't been paying attention. See here.Riknas wrote...

I strongly disagree, as do many others apparently.RedCaesar97 wrote...
People are still using Marksman on Ashley? Even if it was not glitched, it is still a wasted power on her. Concussive Shot, Disruptor Ammo, and Inferno Grenades are all so much better on her than Marksman ever was.
You're either not using the latest version of the game, not noticing the problem, or, somehow, just really lucky. The problem is that, when Marksman is activated, she attempts to activate it repeatedly and incessantly which causes her to stick behind cover and not ever actually fire upon the enemy until given a different command. When given a new command, her Marksman power is deactivated, so she can never actually use it.NocturneNight wrote...
ewhalen: Really? What's wrong with it? Seems to be working fine in my game.
