I'm trying to get the PC Cheat for Reparing Mako to work for me.

Yes I have enough omni-gel. (I've got 99 omni-gel stocked up)
Yes I know it's a lot easier to just use that instead.
And Yes I know how to avoid the mako getting damaged at all.

I really just want to see this "magic" happen and be able to recreate it whenever I feel like amusing myself.

Most articles I read tells you that for PC, if your mako is damaged, by creating a new save and then reloading that save, the mako shows up healthy: Nothing red and with full shields.

Everytime I've tried this though, I get the full shields but the Hull is still blinking red.

I did manage to get it to work once in the Armstrong system.  The mako itself was on fire still, but the hull didn't blink and I had full shields.  That was from me entering a building, saving, reloading, then exit the building.

I currently have a mako on fire on the Feros skyway, hull blinking red.  Save and reload only gave me back my shields.  I've tried exiting the planet itself, navigate to another system, land on a planet, leave planet, navigate to Feros.  Hull stil blink red, even though the mako on the planet in another system is fully repaired.

What's the best way to get this cheat to work for me?  Is there another way?

On PC, you can always just open up the console and use the spawnvehicle command to get a brand new, undamaged mako.

Yes, I have played with the new vehicle (and have used them as cover), but that does not repair the hull.

The new one should have a fully repaired hull.  I'm not really sure of any way to just fix the hull without just fixing it.

Yes, the new one does have a fully repaired hull.

Interestingly enough, once the mission to dislodge the Geth from the ExoGeni building and "save" Elizabeth Baynham was completed, the burning mako that was used to get there disappeared and was replaced with a fully repaired one. My older saves still have the burning mako though.
