How is that so few guys like Jack as a LI?
Sure, I know, she is covered in tats, but she still has the prettiest face, and after Maleshep breaks down her mental/emotional barrier,:crying: you can't help but see her as one of the most loveable characters in the Trilogy.
I see her lovable character as capable of rivaling Tali.

P.S. She is the only female LI that I can recall crying at the thought of losing Shepard. To me, thats very heartwarming.

I know some people don't like her because she had a shaved head in ME2.

Yeah, I would say she's probably my favorite human squadmate. Quite a turnaround, since she was pretty much at the bottom of the list in ME 2.

If she had fewer tattoos and let her hair grow out, and stopped being so "woe is me", she'd be quite attractive. She did make some improvements in 3, though.

I like her as a buddy.

I dislike her ME2 romance scene. Cure decades of psychological trauma with a good Shepard ****ing!

I picked Tali over Jack party because in science fiction I like to date aliens, partly because Tali was there first and I'm a one love kinda guy.  Once I give my heart away I give it away for good.

Jack is my runner-up though. May pick her if I ever decide to do a ME2 run without romancing Tali.  B)

I believe that the Jack romance scene in ME2 was simply a non-sexual romantic night.

Tali also has a greater tendency to get drunk.

Jack does have the most beautiful face in the series. I agree on that.

I never understood Jack. I appreciate her as a character but always felt she was out of place.

Jack's is my favorite romance arc in ME2. There's a lot more to it than just hooking up, and I appreciated the depth it added to her character.

Funny, because otherwise she's one of my less favorite characters in that game.

I'm certainly a fan. Though the lewdness gets old at times.

Heh, it's easy to miss but she typically doesn't drink.  Says so when she realizes she poisons herself with cheese trying to help bail Traynor out of fessing up to EDI.

I don't imagine that in a real world situation I'd wind up trying to get close enough to Jack to find her vulnerable side. Or bringing her on my ship, either. Her background, and subsequent behavior, suggest impulsive, reckless, and antisocial behavior that could be a risk to the mission. Wouldn't likely awaken Grunt, either, given what I know about him. Not on my ship, anyway; surely Cerberus has labs in which he might be studied and debriefed after his education in the tank.

Jack was one of the characters who interested me, given her "the more people who die, the higher I figure my chances of surviving are" philosophy, which really isn't typical. But it's really not a sexual thing. I couldn't see involving myself with somebody as murderously psychotic as Jack. (I could, however, see myself getting involved with Morrigan in Dragon Age; her deal is self-interest, not mindless violence.)

I liked her one line about becoming pirates a lot, it amused me. And seemed like a pretty good use of Cerberus's resources after the mission. We could do what Archangel was doing and raid mercenary bases or something along those lines, most of those ****s deserve it.

Except they don't **** that night. Shepard just showed her that she doesn't have to be all alone and that love is not a weakness. She's not cured but accepting her feelings for Shepard and reaching out to him is a step on the road to recovery.

Easily the best romance scene for a Male Shepard in ME2 if not the whole trilogy.

Mostly aesthetic reasons. Big head, waifish body, too much makeup, tattoos aren't hi-res enough to look like tattoos -- just looks like crude markings all over her.

A bit over the top with the rage. I would have liked a more Girl With the Dragon Tattoo vibe. But I can see why people love Jack as she is. She's just not my speed.

Tried to romance her in ME2, but when my Shepard sat next to her on the bed...  there was a papa Shepard talking to his unruly daughter vibe and...yeah, not going there. :pinched:

I kinda wish Omega DLC was about making her Pirate Queen of Omega.  First time I heard her say that line I immediately pictured doing that with my Shepard someday in ME3.

well Depends. for a Male Shepard I usually go with Liara or Ashley, and for Femshep either Garrus or Thane.

While not as bad as Ash, Jack's pretty annoying and I agree with the other poster who said she seems very out of place. I just think the entire way her character was written is juvenile.

Why isn't Jack more popular with the average ME fan?  Because they are fools, you should eat them!

Speaking of which, who is Jack's face model?

I'm almost entirely certain that her face wasn't just sculpted by the art team, but there's nothing on Jack's wiki page about a facial model, only her voice (and she doesn't look like Courtenay Taylor).

I personally think Miranda has the best face though, what with being a brunette Yvonne Strahovski (you literally cannot go wrong there).

I think it was mostly because she had a shaved head in Mass Effect 2 and appeared somewhat flat chested.

Her competition was a character that looked like Yvonne Strahovsky only with more T&A, and a curvaceous Quarian in a catsuit (dem hips) whose face was a mystery. People who 'manced Tali simply head canoned something attractive underneath. It is an advantage in some respects.

As much as male gamers may claim they choose LIs for reasons that are not shallow, it is usually for shallow reasons. Or at least, shallow reasons play their part. Looks may not be the only factor, but they are a factor, and a big one.
