Lovelymaiden even has a very well-written (though somewhat inaccurate) post war comic with Maleshep and Jack...

I have two male Shepards. The Sentinel one romanced Miranda in ME2 (although he did do the quickie with Jack); and the other one (an Adept) romanced Jack in ME2. Jack is definately my favorite BroShep romance, although that's the only BroShep I've used in ME3 so far.

Shaved head makes her look too boyish, she looks alot better in ME3 though. Besides that, the chick is nuts, there is something wrong with you if you are attracted to that.

Oh, the tattoos are just remnants of a troubled past, and we've all had troubled pasts, both in the game and out of it...

It takes a forgiving spirit to love Jack...

Where is she "crazy" in your eyes?

P.S. I don't approve of her tattoos at all, but I forgive them...

I actually did romance Jack on my very first playthrough of ME2, which was my very first playthrough of any ME game. I just talked to her repeatedly because I was interested in what she had to say (otherwise, I was just breezing through the game) and eventually the option just came up. So I took it.

That playthrough eventually had to be abandoned due to a saving glitch, but I liked what I saw at least. I like how the relationship developed, how she slowly began to trust my Shepard more and more. Watched the conclusion on youtube and thought that it was rather touching (also saw the sad clip of what happens when you reject her).

So I started another playthrough, as the ME universe had already partially sucked me in, intending to romance Jack again. But somewhere, upon listening to her dialogue again, I just started thinking: from a roleplaying perspective, would I actually do this? Would I even want to be in a relationship with her? I concluded that no, I wouldn't. I mostly just felt sorry for her, didn't enjoy her personality, and mostly just wanted her to have at least one person she could trust. Ignoring the unfortunate implications of the magic D plot, I just couldn't 'mance her again after realizing that. I thought that, all things considered, it would probably be far better if I could just be her friend. That was the ideal option.

Though of course I must have screwed up somewhere along the way, because for the rest of that playthrough she just said "**** OFF!" after I didn't enter her romance path. Shame. Anyway, after I did that, I took that playthrough as an opportunity to converse with other squadmates more (my last playthrough crapped out soon after the Collector Cruiser). I did so, got interested in a certain quarian in particular who I only recalled seeing once in my first playthrough, tried out her path, and never romanced anyone else again in any of my eight subsequent playthroughs.  I like to think that I still succeeded in at least being Jack's friend by just being nice to her but stopping before any romance dialogue; ME3 seems to support that.

Now, well, my lawful side has kicked in and now I'm just disappointed we can't send her to prison, or a very padded room. Don't get me wrong, I still like her, but damn, do not let the mass murderer around children. I didn't really think about that too much the first time, but Jack is a mass murderer and one of the most prolific human criminals around. Locking her up really should've been an option, and giving her such a job made me seriously doubt the Alliance's judgement.

The tattoos aren't just part of a troubled past. It's art. And for her, part of all her past, good and bad (the women on her arm are her "sisters" from a gang that got taken out, for example). She also gets them because she's ashamed of the scars.

I don't approve of her running around half naked all the time.

Luckily, you can change that after gaining her loyalty

I''d suggest to not take any of this stuff so seriously (referring to crazyness or criminality). Don't act like such grannies. This isn't Sunday School. Just have fun with it. Mass Effect is larger than life escapism. Not a moral platform or some guide on how to be upstanding citizens.

Shepard can be the same kinda guy, and plus, Thane, Samara, Miranda, Wrex, Zaeed, and possibly Garrus are murderers too.

What do you mean?

Samantha is kind of normal, I suppose. But I think for the most part, Mass Effect in general is sort of a universe "turned up to 11". Not just Jack. Just about everything is crazy.

I have never felt strongly about her tattoos, one way or another.

I think they look good, they're colorful and all, but I do not find them attractive or unattractive. They're just... there, for me.

As to the hairstyles, though, I found Jack's shaved head incredibly sexy. She looks good in ME3, but it plays to a more "cute" kind of an image, whereas the ME2 look played to a more "wild" image that is just utterly irresistable (sp?) to me in a girl.

Just thinking about it... Image IPB

Well the crimes of piracy, kidnapping, vandalism and murder, don't exactly add up to a sane personality.

The difference being they will not kill you for looking at them funny, and in most cases they were either getting paid, following an ideology, or in the case of Garrus trying to make things better.

Jack really has some mental health problems and they aint going to be solved by one good lay from Shepard. Jack's change of personality in ME3 is really a immersion breaker for me because I just don't believe it.

The ponytail kind of reminds me of like.. umm.. a sort of human-asari look. Plus that and her new wardrobe is layered like Aria's. It's like she liked Aria's style, and did her own spin on it.

Jack doesn't change because of Shepard. Play the game again. Listen to her lines. She's already in a transition period before you even start a romance. "Joyriding doesn't have the thrill it used to". You pick her up at a prison called Purgatory. It's kind of symbolic of a stage where people are middle of the road, ready to purge their past. She was never evil anyways. She's in that prison because Cerberus put a bounty on her and Kuril is holding her for them. She killed them like Shepard kills them in ME1. Big ****ing deal. She's more Chaotic Neutral than Evil.

First off, there was NO sex, plus, Shepard had a bit of a head-start thanks to Jack's previous boyfriend who proved his love for Jack via death swapping.

You forgot Liara. She murdered Nyxeris in cold blood. "The Observer is female. Nyxeris gave me the tip. Nyxeris would you step into my office...."

Shepard: "How was the fight?"

Liara (smiling): "Challenging, but her barriers needed work. If she wanted to kill me, I never would have seen it coming."
