I have no idea why we shouldn't be able to delete/manage characters from the main menu.

If all of his voiced npcs hated and distrusted all things magic (along with a literacy problem and funky rune tatoos), I'd forgive all of Bethesda's and Bioware's gaming transgressions made against me. As a hardcore, entitled  gamer, I am now offended that they didn't implement this idea in the first place.
