I think the reason I didn't enjoy it so much the first time was because I was busy grumbling about it being so different from Origins. I found customizing, outfitting, and grouping my characters awkward, I hated that the dialogue choices told you beforehand whether they were flirty, cruel, nice, neutral, or whatever(like in Mass Effect), and that Hawke always said something completely different then what I thought she would.
Also, I just really wanted to be an elf again!! <_<
But replaying both recently, I've noticed that I overlooked alot of things that were better or just as good as Origins.
If you don't like linear storylines then I can understand why you might not like this game...compared to Origins, you really don't have as many options. But for a linear story, it's pretty damn good!
One thing I love so much more in DA2 is the graphics and the fighting. I found it much more entertaining, beautiful, and fast paced. I also liked the rogue abilities more.
I found the character scenes more engaging too...Probably due to the upgraded graphics.
And although I still like how DAO dialogue choices were presented, this new way with DA2 has actually grown on me!
So I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed both games, and I'm really looking forward to playing DA3 when it comes out. I'm pretty much game for anything!
And thank you to everyone who helped make Dragon Age 2! I've had so much fun playing it.
