There are two seperate quests in the wilds where you have to find something. One is following the 'x' markers and finding the hidden cache, the other is the last will and testament quest where you are supposed to find a buried box and take it to dude's wife. I cannot find this box anywhere. Some people keep saying it is in a fire, but the other hidden cache was in a log right next to a giant campfire, in the far west, but no buried box for the other quest. Can anyone please help? This is driving me crazy.

well ... i have the box and i found in the west of the map inside a camp fire. If u put the mouse (PC version ) over the camp fire and click it updates your quest log and puts the box inside your. It is in the west guarded by some monstrers

The map is like a big circle. The right arm leads to the main quest. The left to the last will quest. But if you just keep going either direction you should find what you seek eventualy. I believe the fire is unlit. Can't remember.

K then, anyone know where the first marker is? The note says it's under a nearby fallen tree, found the tree, but no matter how hard I look, I can't find any rubble...

These markers are exceedly annoying to find. They don't glow and on my screen at least seem to be just a few pixels wide. Don't look for anything too spectacular, according the codex the markers look like regular rock piles and they mean it!
What I do is use the map to get right up to the X and make sure I'm looking straight at it. Then wildly wipe the screen with my mouse till I get a flash and then keep working my closer in on that flash till I can finally right click on the marker.
Not elegant but it let me get through the quest

Or you could use the TAB(I think that's the default) key to highlight usable objects.

TAB is the only way you are going to be able to see the markers. Just hold it down while you run around and you will find it. Then check your map for the next ones and find them. Rinse and repeat.

I keep forgetting that box which gives the quest because I always seem to take a different path in the Wilds

I'm pretty sure I've went over the whole map (this is my second playthrough) this time as well... all the while holding the TAB key to highlight things.. but I cannot find this darn hidden chest.

Forget it, I just found it..
For those still looking, on the map (Kocari Wilds) go completely west... I really mean as much as you can go.. there you find a a group of Darkspawn (I think its the biggest grouping of them on this map, mainly composed of Genlock Archers and 1 Hurlock). They are kind of camped in this open 'ruin-looking' place.. there is a campfire that is NOT lit (either hold TAB or mouse over it to pick up Jetta's lock box.

The Last Will and Testament cache is located at the Abandoned Camp which is 4 on the map, but you need to loot the Will off Rigby's body before it will show up.
edit: Ahh, I see you found it. Make sure you pick up the Chasind Sign quest while you're in that area. Loot the visible chest and get the Field Journal to start it.
