I never preordered any ME, I dont care to buy it no matter how entertaining DA:O was. I played it for a break until some decent MMO comes out, I prefer games with *some* multiplayer option.

I *might* have considered buying something more from Bioware but I really dont like all this hysteria and the way they handle PR.

I really dont care when or even if RTO will come out, I just dislike not getting any proper answers about it.

As for what people do or dont do with their money, I find any discussion about it distasteful and immature.

Cancel my ME 2 pre-order because of a minor DA DLC's delay? Laughable, hysterical, and just plain absurdical!

Most of the ME2-cancellation posts I've read seem to focus on the lack of communication regarding the DLC, and many of the posts are by people who've experienced the Pinnacle Station fiasco. While I'm not one of the reservation-cancelling people, I can understand why some people might feel that way if they saw this happen after seeing Bioware not fix issues regarding Mass Effect 1 DLC issues.

I'm just hopeful that since a different team is handling ME2 and its content they won't make the same PR mistakes that this is having.

Too many people assume things . I see that in these threads alot. Which makes me sad. Maybe Bioware does not update everyone like most feel they should. But honestly I would like to think it might be cause they are busy trying to fix the issues with the DLC to have time to post. As for ME2 it has nothing to do with DAO. Sometimes I think some people need drama to get through the day.

Except the same thing happened in ME1, and has been repeated in DA:O showing that Bioware has the same tendencies for several different series. It's completely reasonable to worry that ME2 would have the same bug-issues-and-DLC-delay-without-updates issues that ME1 and DA:O have had.

Also, even if they don't post, they can send a quick email to the moderators here to update them on the situation. An email takes two or three minutes to create and send.

You know I'm sure that when ME 2 comes out and ppl get it the very same day the technical support forums will be full of complaints. If EA has its fingers its somethign then def. there is gonna be a problem. For F's sake ppl cant even PLay Kanes Wrath or Red Alert 3 because those ****es can't fix the issues with wirelss router mother****ers. I hope they all die in a burning plane crash.

for me DA.O was a time filler until ME2 cam out anyways, while yes I am 1 of the "lucky" xbox users who got the DLC while it was avavilable, I also now have a new coaster as the game is unplayable due to a bug that scrambled my save files as well as locked my specs.. will this cause me to cancel my ME2 preoreder hell no, will I wait before getting any new DLC from Bioware, hell yes.

Mass Effect 2 is Biowares and EAs biggest money spinner potentially, no one knew what a dragon age was before the game, but everyone knows Mass Effect, so there'll be a lot more sheen to ME 2, Dragon Age is just a persistent annoyance by now.

The people described in the OP are...well I guess I am not allowed to make personal insults on these forums.

Game development isn't a process you can predict the completion of. Often, you have two options: Release a buggy, incomplete piece of ****, or delay the release date. The fact that Bioware does the latter is not a bad thing.

This thread = fail. Whatever they want to do is none of your business. They have their own reasons to do so. Some of you are taking this stuff too seriously.

Cancelling ME2, a game I'm looking forward to a lot, because RtO (which I'm also looking forward to) was delayed sounds a bit like waking up in the morning with a slight headache and then proceeding to pound your head against a concrete wall to show it who's boss.

I think -everyone- is taking this stuff too seriously. It's a $5 DLC, and we should all just chill out. There are worse things that can happen.

Missing on a good game is really not a big deal, there are a crapload of good games out there. If someone feels he's not being treated well by a company then by all means boycott their products. And it doesn't matter if it's different teams, If the OP feels shortchanged by Bioware, why would he send them more money?

I can guaranty that there will be 0 repercussions in his life for not playing ME2, no matter how fun it could be.

I would like to also point out that DA: O was not developed by the SAME developer team than the folks doing ME 2. Sure they were both BioWare Edmonton, but ME 2 Casey Hudson's in charge and DA: O was Mike Laidlaw. Therefore, all of Mike's problems with the current situation on his side shouldn't be provoking boycotts on Casey's project as well, especially when it is over a DLC.

I canceled my ME2 order. BioWare just isn't the company I thought it was. I'm sure ME2 will be a lot of good fun, and I will buy it, but I'm going to buy it used a month or two after its release.

A little bit of patience, I still get the game, and I don't feel like such a sucker of corporate teat. Not a big deal overall, but it'll make me feel better.

And I am stickler of a consumer. Just ask my local convenient store owner. For years I've been ignoring him and driving an extra mile to buy my milk and bread because the dude... well, long story, but I felt ripped off a couple dollars. Not a big deal financially, but I really don't like giving money to businesses that want to take me for granted, and I will go out of my way to spend my money elsewhere. Most people will just spend money however it's convenient for them, but that's why capitalism sometimes doesn't work like it ought to.

As I always say to you people, that Collector's Edition is never going to go back to your hands. Ever.

PS: To be honest, I never originally intended to buy Dragon Age. I brought this game after a lot of social peer-pressure and as a game to help kill time before the release of Mass Effect 2 (which was on my list of games to play this year). I was very surprised how well DA was done that I am very content on how the developers so far went with this game. Surely I am a bit disappointed on how the DLC is going but then again, this isn't my first DLC woe with BioWare as they did before with the 2nd DLC from Mass Effect 1 (and that one came out terribly.) All I hope is that they are going to release RtO the way it was advertised and there are no bugs. Patience is a virtue (but I SERIOUSLY hope it isn't going to be like Pinnacle Station again). Besides, I really feel that you are in a sense hurting developers in the company that didn't make DA since as I mentioned before, the people who are working on Mass Effect 2 aren't the same people who made DA and in addition the people who are working on ME 2 LEARNED from their lessons of bad support and DLC releases from ME 1 (when all of flamed on the old site for so long). Therefore I think you think twice before you do it. There are more than just factor to totally cut you off from another game from the same (vast) company.

Your loss is someone else's gain. Don't go begging for it back. You lost your chance (Regards to CE though).

Seriously? I bought the CE of Dragon Age and all it's been good for is to give my player character a helmet and a couple of books to buff the stats a bit.

User-made mods are free and can do the exact same thing. The game itself is never any different than the CE versions. It's no loss to me, really. ME2 regular edition will be just as fun.

And I'm mainly buying the game because I'm a huge Martin Sheen fan. Seriously, I'll buy anything that features the voice of the man who narrated the greatest movie of all time (Apocalypse Now).

And, yes, it's a "different team", but it's the same company, and each team is basically just operating under the same management. If I find DA's customer service to be rotten, I don't imagine ME's will be a rose garden of thoughtfulness and consideration.
