If it was any other game I would have cancelled my preorder the day I got the 360 update. A delayed game wouldn't make me think of doing that but a game breaking patch is another story. Any other game but ME2 and I would have been asking for a full refund. Damn you Bioware for making me love ME1 and holding onto all my saves for years.

It's typical BioWare. They screw up badly on releases and support but once they are out (sans Pinnacle Station), my god they are good developers making good games. As I said, the only total epic fail they ever had in the end of all things was Pinnacle Station. That DLC was rated WORSE than Horse Armor from Oblivion.

Texting "Haiti" to phone # 90999 puts a $10 charge on you phone bill and donates the money directly to Red Cross, no BS.

Yeah i played it on xbox but it was bugged and has now been pulled. PS3 has been delayed indefinitely and i'm not sure about PC - still no release date i think. Basically, the people who've played it either pirated it or got the bugged 360 version (like me)

Because if you do not see it or experiance it, it does not exsist.

once again.
It's absolutely hilarious that people whine and b*tch when they find out EA owns bioware, but when people wonder why the release date gets pushed back, well, then it's all bioware's fault. I mean, it's not like EA is the publisher, or anything... Posted Image

But they won't. Such is humanity :D

I doubt they'll even cancel their pre-orders. It's all just bluster and attention seeking really.

I grew up in the Caribbean, and that situation in Haiti is palpable for me because I know what it's like to live in destitute conditions from experience. But other people will have a much harder time caring about Haiti because it does not impact them personally (although it does impact them indirectly).

Selfishness is a part of our imperfect humanity.  Don't think that you are above it.

Selfless love only comes into play in very rare occasions, such as when a father holds up his firstborn son, and forgets about his own needs, and only thinks about the baby's needs.

I apologize for going off topic. The last few days in the news have been poignant for me because I grew up around those circumstances.

Cancel my ME 2 pre-order because of a minor DA DLC's delay? Laughable, hysterical, and just plain absurdical!

I would love to know where you got the logic to come out with that statement from?

I point you to the 2nd thing Chulaq mentioned. Who is in charge of giving information to the community for both Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2?

Bioware

The ball is well and truly in Bioware's court and right now they are pissing people off with their poor communication and misinformation.

Now despite in one of the posts about the update I stated I was tempted to cancel my pre-order, I ain't. As someone put earlier on, when I wrote that I was angry and venting, am willing to stick by them for now though. But considering the flack they got last week over the issue, I really would have thought they would have learned a lesson NOT to state something was going to be released when it clearly wasn't. Not only that but to then not apologise that they messed up. People make mistakes, I can accept that, but if they not got the balls to admit that. Then they really ain't doing themselves or the company any favours as far as some people are concerned.

Where he got his logic from? FACTS.

If people are unable to differentiate between teams are have to go "HURR DURR I'll lump it all under bioware" then they might as well use the same logic and blame all of EA. Unless you say they shouldn't blame EA and only blame Bioware, which is then hypocrisy at best. And if you do agree, then you are making a fallacy of composition.

One bioware team messes up, therefore bioware itself needs to be punished. Logical fallacy right here.

White is all colors, therefore it's still not colorless.

Point is that the cat's color is irrelevant of the atoms'.

I think that's the kind of thinking that led to the whole ultimatum-style messages about cancelling Pre-orders. I mean, Pinnacle Station wasn't the greatest DLC ever made but rating it worse than Horse Armour - literally little more than a new model serving next to no gameplay benefit - is pure rhetoric.

...snip

I love it when condescending jerks such as yourself fail to read all of a message.

Just for your enlightenment I have put it in bold and underlined it.

Now, pray tell me what THAT has to do with EA?

Sweet nothing.

Does EA come on these boards to explain what is going on with the game? No

Does Bioware? Yes

So how about next time before you make such an arse of yourself, you actually read the whole statement rather than just the first line.

Facts? What facts do we have? None other than they are 'working on it' and that their hands are tied behind their back because the ball actually isn't any longer in their court but THE fact still remains it is up to them to keep us posted or the reverse to let the people who the ball is in the court of to sort their monkey arses out and get it fixed or they are all going to end up with a lot of customers losing faith in them.

Now before you try to make a comeback with regard the fact it is now the weekend, I already know that and now don't expect to see anything until Monday at the earliest, though due to what I do know after speaking to one of the community bods, I actually doubt that we'll have the kind of update some of the kids are screaming for.

Most people here are not complaining about the game but about how Bioware treated them with their corporate policies about releasing information. And that's why they don't want to give them more money without knowing that won't happen again, hence canceling pre-orders. If they like what's going on with ME2 they will consider buying it.

I don't understand why this upsets fans of ME2 so much, they sounds like responsible consumers to me.

As for fallacies and such, I think you should put down your philosophy 101 book and pick up your high school reading comprehension manual.
