Imagine your internet was terrible. Would you host or join games?

Would you go lagging on servers, being a nearly useless teammate, or would you host your games and let everyone else suffer an complain for lag?

a bit of lag doesn't make you useless, tho hosting it's not helpful. Who isn't used to playing with some kind of lag? the older the gamer the more experience they'll have playing thru lag.

i remember when everyone had pings of over 100 in your own country.

I wouldn't play MP at all, period. Because if I lag so bad I can't really enjoy the game and if I cause others to have less fun because of lag when I host, then I am just being an egotistical douche.

I was talking to a friend in Boston about ping so I tested it. I live near Los Angeles, so I got 298ms of ping.:(

Would first need to know how much micro-trenching costs. Would be a huge relief if it were only 2,000€ or something. That'd be 98% cheaper than before.

My internet is terrible, no imagining for me. The lag is only minor for me though, I can play quite effectively. I wish I could host, the Scorpion is so much more fun on host.

I could literally play with my friend who lives only 400ft away from me, and it gets no better. I just have 10 year old cables, and don't know how much installing the new ones costs.

Bioware would force me to go laggin on servers because I would have needed to play MP to improve galactic readiness.

You should NEVER host if your internet sucks.

I am not saying you cannot though.

Getting better internet won't solve the problem unless you're trying to play ME3MP on dial-up. Lag is mostly caused by high latency to the host and this game doesn't let you filter matches based on ping.

I don't have to imagine it, my internet already is terrible.

I join games, if the lag is so bad I can't effectively play I leave. If it's bearable I stay.
I rarely host. I'm fairly certain I can count on one hand the number of times I've hosted over the course of the last year, and half of those were because everyone dropped out of the game mid way, or I got left in a lobby and it filled up before I could quit or something.
