I think they just love to nickel and dime gamers too much to honestly admit that.

They're jumping on the bandwagon. People are starting to get tired to these business practices. Then again, Microsoft charges people to use Xbox live. Granted, it's a very low price, but Sony doesn't do that to its customers.

Between being an "always on" console and MS cancelling its Xbox Live Family Pack w/o prior notice to its customers, it seems like MS doesn't really care about the console gaming industry, and why should they? MS is first and foremost a software developer and that's where they get the majority of their income.

Looks like my Gold sub will be expiring this year. I have 4 people on that family plan and I can't afford $240 for all of them. Every day that passes brings me on step closer to leaving MS and joining Sony. Good work Microsoft.

Got the email for it earlier too. I'll be watching it. Maybe now that the next xbox will be revealed we will finally get some nice reveals of DA3 (and a definite release date).
