I need to know if this is correct.  Yeah, a lot of good guides out there, but I am doing a full trilogy playthrough and I am making sure EVERYBODY survives.  ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY.

-So get the three main ship upgrades for one.
-Tali as the Specialist Technician
-Garrus as Fire Team Leader
-Preferential people for my team

And then:
-Samara as Biotic Specialist
-Garrus as Fire Team Leader
-Mordin as Escort
-Preferential people for my team
-Choose Mordin and Jack as my Squad.  Everybody else will 'hold the line', right?

I am also doing EVERY SINGLE Mission and Assignment in the entire game that is possible for me to do.

Provided everyone's loyal, then yup you should make it with that set up.

Like above poster said, if you want Mordin in your final squad, have someone else do the escort. They will survive as long as they are loyal. I've chosen Thane to escort in the past, but he's pretty boss against the Collectors so I usually take him for the final fight.

Ah... it worked out fine. I'll admit I did not like having Jack in my last squad, but at least my other guys held the line.

I do the final fight with Miranda and Tali...and everyone survives.

So you do not need to take Jack with you.

For me I have all upgrades for the Normandy.
Kasumi does the vent.
Garrus for fire team leader
Mordin escorts the crew back to the ship
Samara does the biotic bubble
Garrus is fire team leaer again
I take Miranda and Kasumi to fight the human reaper
Everybody survives.

I sent Legion to vent and he died closing the door. I think he's as *any* geth ("We all geth") not so valuable as the other members of your team considering that you will reprogram the Geth station instead of destroying it. The other members survived in my case.

KAsumi, Legion or Tali for the vents (have to be loyal)
Jacob, Miranda or Garrus for fire team leader (Jacob & Garrus have to be loyal)
Samara or Jack for the biotic field (have to be loyal)
ANY loyal character to escort the crew
Any 2 loyal characters for the boss fight

As for "holding the line", if you have enough firepower (i.e. Zaeed + Garrus + Grunt, etc.), non-loyal characters can survive as well. But if you want to make absolutely sure, complete all loyalty missions.
