Doesn't the top window(above the canopy) on an Atlas hit 3 times...? Pretty sure it does. (There is a thread on bsn somewhere)

Spine/ass on a Brute the weakest spot...? Pretty sure it is.

The rest seems correct.

Also, I can't see your diagrams. Link doesn't work either for me. Could be my cell phone...

@Cassandra:

You missed a spot. Triple hit spot on the top window, above the canopy.

I didn't know about the exhaust port on the atlas. Your diagram says exhaust port on back, but the arrow points to the front. Is the weak spot on the front or back. If it's on the front would'nt going for the double/triple hit be better?

The exhaust port is in the middle of it's back. Hard to miss once you know it's a weak point.

Ok thanks. Thats where I always aim when I'm behind an atlas, the diagram had me a little confused

Someone in another thread mentioned that the Brute's chestplate can be blown off to reveal a weak spot, and I believe all the Brute's armour plates do an Atlas-style damage spike when blown off (could be wrong about the second thing).

Other than that, excellent job 10/10 would link to newbie :)

You mean stomach plate.

Thanks OP!!! Very helpful, I've played this game quite a bit and still was a tad unsure about these vulnerabilities.

Hit Geth Pyro`s fuel tank AP weapons to make them explode after short delay
Hit cerberus Engineer`s backpack, it explodes instantly

Any confirmation on the Brute intestines being a proper weak point and not just an unarmored area that takes normal damage?

As for the Atlas exhaust port, I'm afraid I'm not quite sure how I can make it obvious that the arrow is pointing behind a front-facing Atlas.

Scion is already on there. Totally forgot about Pyro and Engineer though, heh.

The top or bottom of the window, where it joins with the metal, are the weakest points. You can hit three times in either spot if you've got a weapon with penetration.

- Concerning atlasses:
I always thought the small windows of the canopy where more vulnerable.

- Concerning ravager: Damned, I always aimed for the sacks and then the insides of the beast!

And a big thanks for the praetorian: I didn't know that.

This isn't official confirmation by any means, but I always seem to notice that my damage output is much higher when I'm shooting a brute's exposed guts.
Also, when a brute roars after pounding its chest, it sticks out its head. If you're using AP mods/ammo you can easily shoot it in the face and body at the same time (if you're standing right in front of it that is). You only have a short time frame before it starts walking/attacking again, but at that moment it's extremely vulnerable.

I can confirm that it's not a weak point. The only weak point is the head. Everything else might have armored plates or not, but it's still doing 1.0X damage.

Also, ravagers don't have weak points. That head thing is an urban legend, nothing more. Probably related to the fact that it's the place to aim to get the double/triple/quadruple hit on them.

Other than that, nice and informative post. Good for people starting around! :)

I thought the critical hit area for ravagers were the insides of the sacs (ie, shoot to burst the sacs, then aim where the sac used to be)?

Ravagers don't have critical hit areas.

Hm... Are you sure? Because I could've sworn that headshotting Ravagers and Brutes in a single shot was one of the things a Kishock could do, back when it was bugged to do its full headshot damage on bosses.

I can give you a 95% that I'm right. Peddro confirmed this so...

More importantly, I have never seen any evidence of the contrary in all these months.

Never bothered to test, but it should be fairly easy. Take a GI Javelin, don't shoot heads till ravagers come out and then kill 5 of them shooting their "head". If you get the 5 headshot medal then I am wrong.
