Sorry if this isn't where this goes but there is no Mass Effect 1 forum here.
I have a Steam copy and an Origin copy of Mass Effect 1. Neither will launch, Steam shows me as in game (name turns green) for about 5 seconds then goes back to blue, and origin just does nothing after the launching window disappears. I am able to get the game to run by downloading the Origin copy, going into the game's folders and using the Launcher executable, but I'd like to be able to use my overlays seeing as I am constantly using Facebook and Steam chat.
Here are my specs:
i5 2500k
GTX 560ti 2gb
16gb RAM
Windows 8 Pro
