Hi, people!
I'm having a problem i can not figuring out how to solve. I googled it but i found no answers. I've modified my Coalesced.bin file to enable gamepad support for my Mass Effect 3. Everything is ok, but only two necessary bindings are not working.

On "bioinpu.ini\\sfxgame.sfxgamemodedying" (the section of the input bindings of when we are dying on multiplayer) there is two functions called ProlongLife and UseRevivePower binded to the SpaceBar and the number 7 keys on keyboard. But when i bind this functions to Xbox buttons, they do not work.

I assigned this bindings to this section:
( Name="XboxTypeS_A", Command="ProlongLife" )
( Name="XboxTypeS_DPad_Up", Command="UseRevivePower" )

Am i doing something wrong?

Could you post your coalesced to google drive and post a link here, so someone can download it and check your work?

This guy is a scumbag cheater by his own admission.  You should just ignore everything he posts (aside from pointing out he's a cheat of course).

Are you a WIZARD? :o

But, no, seriously, just post the coalesced, OP, or go check out the wiki for tweaks, or go to the advanced editing guide, hold on, I have a link to it somewhere.

Edit: Here you go OP

Yeah, I'm a cheat. And I know how to use the coalseced decently, so why shouldn't I help with this coalesced problem? It's not like I'm a BAD guy, I'm just a lazy guy. -_-

It's under 10_Bioweapon.json, just use the weapon struct to edit what you want. Bioware is pretty clear witht their variables.

lol

I do think that its not necessary to upload my Coalesced.bin file. I think my problem here may be for a simple thing i don't know yet. As i said in the topic head, this fucntions that i bind to Xbox buttons works well on keyboard but they do nothing when assigned to Xbox buttons. Have some of you guys, tested this anytime to see if it works for you?

Xbox controller variables assume you are using an xbox. Just because you plug one in doesn't mean that the game is going to see that it is one.

That variable is for the Xbox console. It's mapped to how it would appear to the software on an xbox. Windows has a whole different software stack.

It might just be something syntax wise, maybe if you tried
"( Name=\\"XboxTypeS_A\\", Command=\\"ProlongLife\\" )"
"( Name=\\"XboxTypeS_DPad_Up\\", Command=\\"UseRevivePower\\" )"

Also, bioinpu.ini? It should be coming out as 06_bioinput.json. Maybe if you tried this extractor?

http://svn.gib.me/bu...ffect3/?C=M;O=D

Just click on the first thing you see that says coalesced.

I'm already using a Xbox gamepad on the game and everything is ok. Only this two functions are not working.

See, that's what you can assume. But, the thing is, in the beginning of the file it takes in input from
        "(Name=\\"XboxTypeS_RightShoulder\\",Command=\\"GhostMoveUp 1 | OnRelease GhostMoveUp 0\\")",        "(Name=\\"XBoxTypeS_LeftShoulder\\",Command=\\"GhostMoveDown 1 | OnRelease GhostMoveDown 0\\")"
Maybe they were PLANNING on making the game Xbox controller accessible for pc, but just gave up?

Edit: Nevermind, they actually did implement the controller all the way, it even shows in the fact that they implemented x and y axis for look and walking. Derped right there.

Have you changed the command to something like 'say PRESSED BUTTON X (or whatever)'

It will pop a message up if it sees the command, otherwise the keybinding is not recognized or respected.

Also to post above:
Possibly, but it could be also that this file is just shared among all the software builds. There's references to the .elf files PS3 uses (as oppsoed to Windows EXE)

If you want a true Xbox experience turn aim assist on via that file. I'm sure bioware wouldn't think that's cheating, though the swarmers might report you.

Hmm, syntax don't seems to be the problem. I use ME3 Coalesced Utility, that is GUI based.

EWWWWW.
Use Gibbed's. Wenchy's tool is atrocious. Also Notepad++ is good with gibbed.

Hmm, odd. I'm looking at my file now, and it nothing in it says you shouldn't be able to do it. The only thing A is binded to currently is camera debugging.

When you say "UseRevivePower", do you mean the revive someone else command, or use medigel? Because I think medigel is "Quickslot7" or some such - since you can rearrange powers in SP, I don't think they made it its own power for MP.

Around the middle of the first page you see, he literally says, that wrenchy's tool is cumbersome and a pain, and this guy's been testing mods for the game to the point where he managed to make the enemy weapons usable, like cannibal needle gun.

Thing is, that really shouldn't matter, as BOTH his binds are not working. So, if only the medigel didn't work, that would be a viable answer. It'd be easier if he just got something besides the Microsoft's driver for Xbox controllers and just downloaded one where he could individually bind keys. Like, A button=7.

OP, bind that command to exactly the following:
say BUTTON PRESSED

It will pop up the text chat of the unreal engine. If it doesn't show up then it's not working with your button assignment.
