this question is more than likely the wrong thread, but i was wondering if gamespy has stopped showing servers on the games multi-player list? if so, is there anywhere to find a list of servers currently up? it's been over a year since i had any tiem to play and would like to see whats out there still.

also, i'm wondering if anyone can connect to my server....

Unearthed
direct connect [ 127.0.0.1:5121 ]

come visit and see if you can connect to me then post here if you can please. no need to play there if you don't want to, just want to see if it works and is up for more than just me.

anyone else that has a server can reply with a direct connect number for me to go to as well.

thanks.

Hello friend, there i a thread with informations about game listing and possiblwe gamespy replacements HERE

as for unearthed, the 127.0.0.1 is a translation of so called localhost, which is your local adress nobody can join your server via it, you have to give us real IP ;)

You can find it simply by going to someplace like Google and search for "my ip".

timeout...

maybe the nwn server IP differs from your normal one, try to start NWN client and you should see your own server in the LAN with correct IP, though it doesnt always work at least for me the LAN is quite irresponsible, but give it a try

not we wont be able to connect this, 192.168 is always local adress too. Havent you changed internet provider? It looks like you were behind NAT, ie your IP is not public and you cannot host.
I might be wrong, just based on what you post - try to contact your provider and ask if your IP is public - even if it is its possible that your provider simply blocks ongoing ports (5121). Sorry cant help you more Im not really expert on network administration.

Also make sure all the required ports for NWN are open in your router. Neverwinter Nights requires you to forward the following ports: 5120-5300,6500,6667,27900,28900.

ok, my port forwarding is good, my port triggering is good, my IP address for these shows as 192.168.1.50...

192.168 is just my routers IP... or so i'm told, but as long as my ports are set up it should be fine. the router is set up how it was before i took the time off and the server was running fine then. i think the only part that was different was the last 2 digits... "50"... so maybe it will work now. if not... well i don't know what else to do..

please try and connect again.

Still not working for me. Timed out.

Do you use DSL or Cable? Or rather did you change to DSL since the last time this worked for you? Most of the time with DSL you won't have a static external IP address for people to use. You would have to check it all the time and give people the current IP. With cable it is usually the opposite. You will always have a static IP address that doesn't change. The only people who should be able to use the 192.168.1.xx would be people on your local network. Anyone outside your local network would need the external address. And the one you provided earlier still just gives me a "time out". This along with what ShaDoOoW was talking about.

But I too am no network expert so could be slightly mistaken on some of the info.

again 192.168 is local adress, we wont see you on it. But after modifications youve done the 50.135.23.124 works!

Now, where are my characters:(?
