I know this plea will probably land of deaf ears, but please can you implement a limit of x per customer on limited run items.

I realise that neither Treehouse nor, Bioware or EA care who buys an item as long as they get paid but in cases like this a little discretion can go a long way.

I know supply and demand dictates the market but situations like this this shouldn't happen. This particular seller has at least 1/25 of the ENTIRE production run and is now selling them at 300% mark-up

A quick search through internet forums shows that this was a popular item and with a run of 250 competition to get it was already difficult but with d-bags like the one above buying large amounts it simple
isn't fair to legitimate consumers.

Obviously you cannot prevent multiple purchases but a little common sense would go a long way, especially with limited run items. That seller should not have been allowed to purchase as many as he did and should he have any orders left to be fulfilled I beg and plead that you cancel them.

I've been told that there is a limit on certain items, it seems that the above guy may have used multiple accounts to buypass it.

Well the more you know

Their standard is 2 per customer now I believe, it is unfortunate when someone works around the system like that. This has been a problem since the lithographs became a big deal and their only solution to date has been the 2 per account limit.

I don't mind people reselling them, not really. It's just that one really really irked me, I missed out and he is sitting with at least 10.

Hell if was asking a realistic price I'd buy one but 3 times the price...

Still the world is full of d-bags who want to profit by doing zero work. Nice work if you can get it.

Personally as much as I love that piece, and I do I really hope that nobody buys them at such an inflated price. Actually I want Bioware to cancel his outstanding orders and relist the item but I'd settle for him taking a $400 hit - (although since somebody has already bought one I doubtr that'll happen)

You could always try contacting the artist. Maybe she'd be able to help you out.

Unfortunately this will always be the case. When ACIII came out, a replica of Ezio's hidden blade was released. I bought one at my local gamestop for $40, fair price. They sold out a while later, and one of my friends didn't have the chance to get one. He went to eBay and some sob was selling them for $100 bucks a piece plus shipping. Guess what? The location the item would be coming from on eBay was the same as the city we reside in. Same person who bought all of the gamestop stock? Maybe, maybe not--my point is this happens with pretty much everything. I really don't like it either, in fact it really annoys me-- specially with items that are more limited such as the lithos. Not sure there is much anyone can do to prevent that, however. Loop holes can always be found, as unfair as that is.

True, as with most things in life it's a few d!cks who ruin things.

I hate ticket touts with a passion for the same reason.

@cheesetogo I had thought about contacting the artist, but her website mentiones she isn't selling them directly and I seriously doubt that I would be able to afford a single commisioned piece.
