How do I get her to take care of my fish in ME2 and appear in ME3 without Romancing her?

Apparently you still have to hit on her for that.

I never did, so I've never met her in ME3. Oh well, nothing of value was lost.

Keep flirting with her until the "date" and romance someone else.
It's just harmless flirting.

Head canon that all they did was have a nice dinner.

You have to flirt and compliment her a lot to get the dinner invitation option, but she's a naturally flirty person. After the Collector Ship mission, she calls Shepard her friend, so you could just see the flirts as nothing more than friendly banter.

Don't invite her to the cabin, though, after the Suicide Mission :P

no only that but who's to say anything happened at all on the "date" other than the dinner? sure it may be slightly implied..esp if you don't romance anyone and she goes all Asari stripper on you after the suicide mission...but there's nothing saying you and her did ANYTHING other than have dinner and chat on that "date"

you won't see her in ME3 unless you have the "date" she won't take care of your fish if you don't have the "date"

yah the flirting is hamfisted but if you want her to take care of the fish and show up in ME3 then invite her for dinner...it's only our minds that assume anything else happened.

Considering how easily the fish can die and I'd say chatting her up was the easy road. Besides if you really don't like her you can be a *ick about her spyng for TIMMY and she'll off herself --problem solved

Lol, I think there's a big difference between not liking her and wanting to be that much of an ass to her, my shepard doesn't like her, she's also not really thrilled about someone she literally just met hitting on her just hours after finding out she's beed "dead" for two years, so my sheps rarely speak to her about anything other than the crew.

In ME2, Kelly says something like "I knew you'd be there to catch me". You can say "I'd catch you." or "I'd embrace you". If you just say "I'd catch you", then its a friendship path, and there is no flirting. You can still have a friendly dinner, and she'll feed your fish. If you say "I'd embrace you", then you are on the romance path. She even asks you a second time if she was being too forward to make sure you wanted the romance path. At that point you can tell her she misunderstood, and you are back on the friendship path. She will only appear in your cabin after the credits if you chose the romance path, but she will feed for fish on either the friendly or romance path.

I didn't know you could do it without flirting, but the "romance path" works just as well without actually romancing. Appearently the romance doesn't lock in before you invite her in your room again post suicide mission, I never did that and was totally fine without romance.

There's always Gibbed. That way she still appears, but no romance is needed. The dinner/cabin-invite is only mentioned if you romance her in 3, so it's consistant.
You don't change the romance like with normal LIs, though. There are certain Bool Integers that have to be changed.

Thank you Dusty Everman =)

Current FemShep in ME2 will get her ship next weekend, it will be nice to see Kelly again. It's been far to long since last I met her.

I liked kelly, did what ever it took to save her. She is always in my me3 play through. Just sad i couldn't help with the trauma. her voice and character was like a candle of joy in an ocean of doom and gloom.

hehe did it with kelly she had the smokin outfit plus that hot dance number. my sheps dirty little secret, excuse "i was caught by the moment". but yeah i did like kelly.

just hoping in the next me we'll get see someone like kelly onboard. yoh hot secretary fling.

Hmm...I never had the option to bring her up to dinner unless I took the romance path and flirted with her. I must have played the friendship angle 10 times without her ever offering dinner. It was only after I flirted that I received it.

Are you certain this is possible?

Hmm... so I can't tell her that I'll drop her and still have her feed my fish. I think I have to re-evaluate my life.

(Also never got a dinner when I took the romance path. Musta done something wrong.) D:

So when it comes down to it, we're all chiefly concerned with getting our fish fed?

Hence dropping 25k on a special fish tank in ME3 ...

Reapers everywhere destroying worlds, but ... the fish, man! The FISH!

On my current ME2 game, I'm going to make a point of getting all the fish, ALIVE, through the Omega 4 relay. All the crew, yes. But also all the fish. Every single fish.
