the warden wouldn'tbe hard to have but it would have to be a default face for each and you would only see them incertain places. also it would only be six models and one elf would have tattoos (dalish origins) and the dwarf commoner would need the brand but that isn't hard to do. but do you think we will see the warden  for a little bit

You'll see neither if I have my way. My warden is a distinct character with his own motivations and thought process that Bioware can't possibly capture. Importing doesn't magically make this problem go away. Even my Hawke is more complicated than Bioware can reliably reproduce.

I think they can just have him play a small part they might be able to to a point

Can't imagine the warden having a large role since he/she could well be dead. Letting their role being taken over by another random character greatly diminishes the warden as a character and raises the question why he/she was even in DA3 in the first place. Hawke's story was cut short so I have no problem if he/she returns for a short while and gets a proper finish. The Warden's story ended with DAO and I'd prefer not to see or hear from them again, same goes for the DAO companions. But I guess bioware may have different plans...

I can only hope they don't screw up, but with their apparent stance on retconning and lore consistency, I'm not at all convinced.

Lord Aesir has a good point,do the have a creative enough idea not only to do it but to do it right. People spent a lot of time into their warden character so if we have no say into any of the warden choices through the game then don't put him/her in the game. I think with Hawk having already a voice and a somewhat more linear story(given the story of da2) give hawk a role but not to great a role. Allow the Inquisitioner decide torecruit them as NPC or playable companions for major missions later in the game. Its a tough one to pull off.

They may do something about the disappearing PCs or they won't. Until more information comes out we are like mushrooms. Kept in the dark. But as DA3 will cover the mage templar war I can understand Hawke appearing but never to sure about the warden.

My Hawke has a much more complicated personality than my warden. One aspect is pride. She would never follow someone else and she would also jump to the conclusion that someone named the inqusitor was evil and affliated with the chantry or the templars.

I think that bioware should just let the wardens and Hawkes be, they can't show them in any role without pissing off some people whose character would never react liket that, it would break the player base even more and honestly (and most important) it would remove focus from the new player character. That is nothing that prevents and new main character from being well liked, like the old one still being in the story in a significant way.

I prefer the rumours we hear of the warden and Hawke.

I have mixed feelings on this...I would rather enjoy seeing My Warden and seeing what he's been up too, then again I have the feeling that a cameo would ruin the character.Such as him doing or saying stuff that my Warden would never ever do.Maybe if we can choose what he/she is going to say and if we enter character customization before he/she appears, that would be pretty awesome.Hawke I really don't care wether he/she shows up or not.

I completely agree, I think its best that the old characters stay in the previous games for there isn't a need to drive the game forward to have them there is nothing more then fan service that can go terribly wrong.  Its one of the things I like the most about Dragon Age for they have different characters for each game so there aren't the same level of attachment and makes the games more independant

This.

And before anyone says "lol they could just use the dominant tone for hawke it's bioware's character anyway"... no. There is such a thing as mixing tones. And if Cahir showed up and was an ass to everyone simply because his dominant tone was agressive, despite the fact that he was frequently sarcastic and actually switched between agressive and diplomatic throughout Act 1, I'm going to punch something.

I don`t think face imports works between game engines?

I'd say either both or neither but most likely neither.
They might get mentioned in the codex or by some NPC that bumped into them somewhere down the road but I won't hold my breath. Tbh, I don't really want to see their cameos if they are to share the fate of Alistair and Teagan (in DA2).
I'd rather keep them safe and warm in my head canon...

They might have a cameo appearance, but I doubt they will play a big part in DA:I. I would have liked to see Hawk's adventure concluded, but I don't think they would do that in Inquisition.

My Warden had a pretty complex personality; and unless Laura Bailey's voicing her it would ruin the voice I had in my head.

Unless we're playing as them I'd say leave them alone.

Pretty much; I'd rather not be scarred for life. :?

Warden, Hawke, and all other protagonists will appear in the final DA game, in Flemeth's boiling pot. She's having Heroes soup for dinner.

If the Dragon Age development team ends up liking the Frostbite 3 engine and whatever they've built from it for DA3 and it ends up being used as the foundation for the next handful of Dragon Age games, there is every chance we'll see appearances by the Inquisitor in post-DA3 games. However I highly doubt we'll be seeing Hawke or the Warden. I'm okay with that.

I don't want to see either Hawke or Warden. The only thing I want to know is why did they both disappeared? There are ways you can find out through story or other characters.

I truly hope we get to see both our former protagonists, but I fear that the chances of us only seeing Hawke and not the Warden are bigger than seeing both.

Actually, I'm more interested in seeing Bethany again xD Still want to romance her lol Though I bet Warden and Hawke's disappearance have something to do with Flemeth.
