alright DA2 was in one city and not much else besides dlc and the deep roads weird thaig. I want to see if the circle in orzammar shows up or if the boon the mage warden could ask for the ferelden circle if it shows up in some way besides that conversation between alistar and meredith.or how if the dwarven warden asks for help against the darkspawn that are threatning orzamar the dwarves get everything until the dead trenches back which would make orzamar stronger. I know it is un likely to show up in a big way but I would like it to come up in some way that was more then a few words changed. what do you think will some of the stuff from DAO come up and DA awakening. and I mean other stuff besides what I mentioned as well

They need to have these decisions there were many, they need at least 5 or 6 of them to show up to make it feel like a trilogy. Allow 2 or so Awakening decisions as well.

I wouldn't count on it. My enthusiasm for the save import in Bioware games has only diminished with each sequel of theirs I play.

Nope. The save import feature was only added because it was popular in Mass Effect.

DA was never supposed to be a trilogy.

This basically, and while I would enjoy seeing some consequences to different choices I made in DAO there were so many that I think it would by really difficult to produce any kind of consequence as a result of them. I think DA2 actually did a decent job of bringing up things from DAO in manageable ways, like Harrowmont showing up at the docks, and the various cameos.

Oh. yeah. Leliana showing up (after I killed her in Origins) was great and showed the potential of a save import in Dragon Age.

I would prefer that they just canonize our decisions.

Me too, that way we could have meaningful consequences to past events, instead of the quick cameo / email / note that we saw in ME2&3 and DA2. Alas, I don't think they will do that.

Which is a pain. I can understand the writers' issues. On the one hand, you have fans who really like the import feature and thought it was well-handled. You have fans who want to see it improved.

At the end of the day, I see importing as limiting the ability of the writers to reuse certain characters (Ex: ME3), among other problems. Especially since I'm not playing as either Warden or Hawke again, that puts me even more at ease with a canon storyline.

I wish they would just "restart" the series with a trilogy character and forget this whole "Thedas is the character" thing.

I actually agree with this. Thedas is the most boring character BioWare has ever written.

I imagine there might be a few more mages, or a band of dwarves fighting for the mages if you built the circle. This would allow the decision to be recognized ("yeah, there's a circle in Orzammar now! It's amazing and they're bringing griffons back to life and stuff!") without too many resources.

I can't see a lot of decisions being imported because you really didn't make many or the ones you did make are polarizing and I just can't see it working well. If you want to have major decisions import to future games I just don't think gaming is that far yet, I rather have major decisions have an impact on the game we are playing so if I decide to replay a game I don't have to go back and replay the old game which I hate playing to see the changes in the new game.
