Although i do like some of the benefits of a voiced protaganist, the main drawback is that we're lumped with one voice whether you like it or not. In DA2 i felt forced to play as Femhawke because the Male Hawke's VA just reminded me too much of his DAO character, Vaughn. A man i singularly loved to hate.

So given the choice, either for male or female, who would your ideal pc voice actor be?

For me:

Steve Blum - Not like Oghren. Somewhere between his Wolverine or Eliphas the Inheritor style. Or Steinberg from the Strait Jacket anime, because i'd like my mage to intone, "I challenge the laws of nature and reason by summoning the power of destruction!"

Or whoever it is that voices Nathanial Howe. I've just started playing Awakening again and that guy is just endless amounts of cool.

Whoever the voice actor of Brooks in the Citadel dlc was, for the female protagonist. Don't mind who does the male protagonist.

Riordan guy for male pro-tag would be my preference. He sounded pretty badass.

Alternatively, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman or Eddie Murphy on the condition he voices everyone else too.

Female:
1 - Jennifer Hale - Bastila Shan, Fem Shep, and million other roles. She's a freaking legend.
2 - Claudia Black - Morrigan xD Now I can't hear her voice without picturing our sexy Witch of the Wild.
3 - Ali Hillis - Liara, Lightning, and more. Love her calm, sexy voice.
4 - Ellen McLain - Love her steely voice in Portal xD
5 - Jen Taylor - just because Cortana is awesome

Any of them voice DA I's, or any DA game's PC would be awesome.

But if we must: I'm a big fan of Jennifer Hale's work in the Mass Effect series and despite her being better at playing the agressive anti-heroine type I still think she has a lot of range.

Keven Conroy (the voice of Batman,) is a pretty amazing voice actor too, and I think he has a wider range than people would tend to give him credit for. He's the first person I thought of at least when I tried to think of alternatives to the go-to-guy of flexible voice acting: Steve Blum.

Michael Bell - The voice of Raziel from LoK. It's criminal that nobody else has made use of him to the same extent.

You mean Fem Shepard? Jen Hale never involve in DA series. Hawke was voiced by Nick Boulton (male) and Jo Wyatt (female).
