Are we counting impossible-to-get VA? If so:

Female: Amy Acker
Male: Alexis Denisof

What makes them impossible to get? They're two severely underrrated actors, that don't seem to be swamped with work since "angel" went down. Seems like perfect candidates; just look at claudia black and Kate Malgrau.

Amen to that. I can't imagine DA without Morrigan or Flemeth. Never tired of listening to them xD

ugh, not Jennifer Hale. Instant immersion breaker for a new protagonist. I'd hear Shepard whenever she speaks.

Female: Natasha Little... or Xanthe Elbrick

Male: Mark Bazeley

Was it an immersion breaker for Mass Effect?  Weren't you able to differentiate between Shepard and Bastila Shan?

Silently.

In my head.

But what if you have more then one Voice in your head? ;)

Nah i agree, I would like to have the same as the Warden in DA:O.

I really dont need an super expensive Hollywood guy, with no connection to the Game or the entire genre, Talking for my Charakter.

Spend that money for 5 new playable Races and take the rest for some Hollydays on a beach for the entire Bioware Game after release.

Yeah, I had that exact problem with trying to play a female Trooper in SW:TOR since she sounds exactly the same as FemShep. I don't mean similar, I mean Exactly. The. Same. I just couldn't disconnect the two characters so my femTrooper had to go. :(

I'm with you on that. Though I still think of Solid Snake whenever I heard his voice.

Bastila was in one game (cameo in the sequel)... not 3 like Mass Effect. Shepard is also the protagonist. I'm now totally familiar with every nuance in Hale's voice. She can fake an "english" accent - Bastila and Mazzy Fentan - but it's obviously Hale. I'd prefer a VA whose voice isn't instantly recognizable; much easier to identify with a new character then. DA3 is too soon after ME3 to seriously consider Hale for the PC. It would break immersion for a lot of people, not just me.

I just listened to the female trooper on Youtube, and wow, you're right, she sounds exactly like Shepard. I'd find it hard to play this character and not hear FemShep in my head all the time.

I like the Sith Inquisitor and Sith Warrior voices though.

Nobody we know, please.

All these famous people, people have suggested, would completely ruin the game for me in my opinion.

Also, please no FemHawke voice actress, ever... she sounds the same in everything she does. Complete immersion breaker.

That maybe the case for you but not for me. Hearing the characters she does the VA for in Origins they sound very different to female Hawke.I was hard pressed to guess it was her. But the topic of the thread is who you would like to voice the player character and everyone has their favourite VAs and opinions as to who they would like to hear in game. Regardless of how well known some of the voices are.
