I'm trying to register for Q forums to speak with them about content they have created, but registration requires admin approval and it is already almost 2 weeks waiting for one. Does anybody know any alternate route to contact them?

You know, I'd like some variety in my content bashing.  We've done CEP and NWNCQ, can could do PHoD content next.  What?  Too focused?  Okay,  How about Lord of Worms, or AD voluminous contributions, or Six's wildwood -- I mean, WW is not NEARLY wild enough.  How about the CC contributors - it's such a mess, they are all over the map in their themes!   We could go old school as attack Lisa, she hasn't been around in ages -- I say she's mutinied and her clothes weren't really that spectacular.  Hey, we could bash Q!   Damnit Jim, I always hated him in ST:TNG.  Or we could go after OTR -- I'm sure we could dig up something to skewer him on,  We could swing the hammer on Zwerk's uh...no, I won't touch Zwerk's work, not even in snark.

You get the picture?  We need something new and fresh to bash!  Swing that hammer!  Bash, bash, bash!

Or we could just knock off the thinly and not so thinly veiled attacks on contributors to NWN.

We have heavy spammers try to access the project q website so if you have been unable to register post your screen name hear and we'll get our admin to get you on.

We currently have 28,000 unapproved signups so unless we know what usernames we're looking for to approve, it's something of a nightmare.

I ask anyone who has not recieved a comfirmation e-mail please post the screen name you applied with and I will get you access.

We recieve an average of about 100 request or more each day, so please when you apply post your screen name here this will make it easier for me to weed out all the spammers. Please attempt to create a screen name similar to your one on these forums as it will speed up the process as well. In a week I will begin to weed out those I do not recognize in any way shape or form. If you applied before 2011 please humor me and reapply. Sorry I am new at this. Thanks in advance and hope to see you on the forum.

We had the same problem on the AME Forums. The few legit registrations we got were completely drowned out by a tsunami of spammers. The only way I was finally able to manage it was to turn account registration off altogether. Unfortunately that means that I have to create new member accounts by hand, but for me that actually ends up being easier than trying to sort through thousands of spam registrations.

BTW, for anyone who has to deal with Forum Spam, there's a good website I can recommend: StopForumSpam.com. Their database of known spammer email addresses is very useful. Whenever I have to check if someone's legit or not I just search for them there, and then delete them if I find any hits.
