never let go sure you dont have to play mass effect all the time but do it as I do:
a few months break then a playthrough and it never gets boring
mass effect trilogy is unique and I will always play it(at least I will try)

Shepard is my character not theirs. They can rot in hell :P

Legal Contract law and rights to the franchise say otherwise.

Well we been specters for 6 years I say screw the law. Plus I I'm a modder... a x2 screw to the law. Not all the law mind you, just this one :P

wow, someone has a hard time seeing the line between reality and fantasy

He can't sell something with Shepard's face on it, but other than that, he's pretty much free to do whatever he wants.

actually he could not sell anything that even MENTIONs Mass Effect or any of its characters without Legal Consent from BW..

You're honestly an idiot, please stop.

I have a Moral Compass, so I'm an Idiot?  .......riiiiight

LMFAO, you're totally oblivious, I can't.

No, you're an idiot because you know what the person meant when they said it was "their Shepard", you're just choosing to take it literally. But I wouldn't call you an idiot for that, just a douche. Especially when you wont drop the act and keep persisting, ruining a pretty cool thread.

lol like that has ever stopped people from doing it.

Sigh, funny how some people think a magical set of words magiclaly stop people from not following them.

Not SAYING I do it but come on. If people think they can get away with it they wont give a damn about what is written down.

Either way I make it public, yet again I do no sell any bioware products... but I copy them :P

I buy my hoodies at use stores, get materials from michael's art store and then do exact replicas for myself... for about 20 bucks :P

tried copying the shoes with my shoes... lost 40 bucks with two pairs from walmart, never got to work them right they look bad.

Make em yourself. Shirts, hoodies. For a fraction of a cost.

So, you just admitted to selling plagiarised products? there are also laws against that as well you realise

He's making them for himself.

I am not trying to be a "douche".  I was just stateing that, he may "feel" that character is his own,  (I feel the same way), but legally it is not and as such BW can do what they like with his character wether he likes it or not.

See, my biggest Pet-peeve is when people thinks when purchaseing a game, they own all its content. as in reality, they only own a license to use it.

Anyways, I have seemed to start an argument I did not intend, so I shall log off for a bit.

I am sorry for starting this argument, and wish you all a great evening..

Technically, THAT is against copyright law as well.

It seems a lot of people don't understand that whether you make it for yourself or for others, provide it for free or try to sell it... it's actually irrelevant.  Whenever you use trademarked or copyrighted material without permission, it is illegal; your intent does not matter in the slightest as far as the legal wording is concerned.

The difference is whether or not the copyright holder takes action... in most cases, most copyright holders simply don't think it's worth the effort.

The "moral compass" is not what made you make fun of him initially for his comments about "his" Shepard. And also, the moral compass would indicate that someone is being wronged and you're opposed to that. So.. what have you said about wanting to aid this poor victim? All I've seen is you going after someone because he rubbed you the wrong way.

if you want to let go of shepard, you'll have to distract yourself from mass effect, probably with another series.

Definitely been reading fanfic the past week or so, haven't even touched the game. Some of it is so good out there that I almost prefer it over the game.

But yes, it's really hard to let go of Shep, and for me letting go of the relationship between Shep & Ash.

That and the love I have for every character.

I guess it's not so sad when you think about it, that you can just restart the game if you want to share time with those characters again. The meta part is just sad knowing there's not going to be any more content, that's the hardest part to deal with.

Agreed, there's a lot of awesome fanfic out there.

It really is kind of hard to believe it's all over for Shepard and company though.
