He can't sell something with Shepard's face on it, but other than that, he's pretty much free to do whatever he wants.arial wrote...

lol like that has ever stopped people from doing it.
Sigh, funny how some people think a magical set of words magiclaly stop people from not following them.
Not SAYING I do it but come on. If people think they can get away with it they wont give a damn about what is written down.
Either way I make it public, yet again I do no sell any bioware products... but I copy them
I buy my hoodies at use stores, get materials from michael's art store and then do exact replicas for myself... for about 20 bucks
tried copying the shoes with my shoes... lost 40 bucks with two pairs from walmart, never got to work them right they look bad.
Make em yourself. Shirts, hoodies. For a fraction of a cost.
He's making them for himself.

I am not trying to be a "douche". I was just stateing that, he may "feel" that character is his own, (I feel the same way), but legally it is not and as such BW can do what they like with his character wether he likes it or not.Jadebaby wrote...
No, you're an idiot because you know what the person meant when they said it was "their Shepard", you're just choosing to take it literally. But I wouldn't call you an idiot for that, just a douche. Especially when you wont drop the act and keep persisting, ruining a pretty cool thread.
See, my biggest Pet-peeve is when people thinks when purchaseing a game, they own all its content. as in reality, they only own a license to use it.
Anyways, I have seemed to start an argument I did not intend, so I shall log off for a bit.
I am sorry for starting this argument, and wish you all a great evening..

Technically, THAT is against copyright law as well.
It seems a lot of people don't understand that whether you make it for yourself or for others, provide it for free or try to sell it... it's actually irrelevant. Whenever you use trademarked or copyrighted material without permission, it is illegal; your intent does not matter in the slightest as far as the legal wording is concerned.
The difference is whether or not the copyright holder takes action... in most cases, most copyright holders simply don't think it's worth the effort.

But yes, it's really hard to let go of Shep, and for me letting go of the relationship between Shep & Ash.
That and the love I have for every character.
I guess it's not so sad when you think about it, that you can just restart the game if you want to share time with those characters again. The meta part is just sad knowing there's not going to be any more content, that's the hardest part to deal with.

Agreed, there's a lot of awesome fanfic out there.
It really is kind of hard to believe it's all over for Shepard and company though.
