Exactly. There were the characters you loved and those you liked. That was it. That's a feeling only the ME series could bring.

To be completely fair to both sides of the discussion, the vanilla game implies that Liara and the other scientists jsut sort of stumbled onto the Crucible blueprint in the archives. The Homeworlds comic suggests that Liara had something from Kahje that led her straight to the Crucible in the archives.

Jumping from a naive and awkward scientist to a cold-hearted and ruthless information broker, alone, in such a short space of time is more than a little contrived in my book.

I don't think galactic politcs outside human issues is very big to most humans. I'm sure he knows that it's not sunshine and bunnies, and he knows about the genophage.

I think he's wondering why the Krogan would b unwilling to help fight the Reapers. Or the Batarians. He knows they don't like us, but his point of view has him seeing the Reapers as the big threat. He can't really see why they'd be unwilling to help fight. He has his moments of insight. He's a much smarter and stronger character than people give him credit for.

Ashley is the character that I totally hate.
