Would you recommend Continuum? The premise intrigues me but I don't know about the execution.
Actually I would recommend it. I didnt have high expectations for it. I thought they'd use the time travel thing to avoid having any real special effects budget for the show, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The story unwinds both in the present and 60 years in the future and definately rewards you paying attention to the small details if you watch it from the beginning. And I find many of the characters very likable.
Dont know if it will be able to maintain its level of quality, but the first season was good all the way through.

Archer (new season on Netflix)
Powerpuff Girls (with my daughter, but that's just an excuse, as is that Netflix just added them.)
(technically) Poirot (I have a few episodes left but have been savoring finishing them)
I'm also about halfway through House of Cards, and while it is extremely well-acted, written, and direct... it's a tad too dark and cynical for me to really enjoy it overall. Not sure if I'll finish it.
Oh - I don't do cable / satellite, so if it it ain't on Amazon Prime or Netflix, I have to want to watch it enough to purchase it from Amazon to see it.

I still fire up the old DVD player and watch Arrested Development occasionally. along with Community, X-Files and Frasier.
I also recently started Trailer Park Boys up again, I hadn't seen the last two seasons when they aired.

The problem with TV shows is that they take too many breaks. I remember not too long ago they took a breather during mid-season and that was it. Nowadays, you can't watch a series for four weeks straight.
One of the reasons I don't watch tv shows as they air and just buy the seasons on disc when they're released in that format.

You mean: <3<3<3Andy Withfield<3<3<3 Still so sad that he passed away. He blew me away in the first season. Really tragic that he became ill right after his first big part.

I feel the same, though I'm not entirely sure if it's simply because of the different plot in the later seasons or purely because of the different actors. Andy got to play very emotional seasons that really moved me and got me completely hooked on the show. Recently saw the episode in which his wife dies again, and oh, the tears.
