She was *impaled*. We're talking serious organ damage. Not just bleeding.
It's not like in the games where characters can sustain massive amounts of damage for gameplay reasons.

Been done before

I though it was a Leliana clip,

Why did Alistair stab her? That doesn't seem like a thing Alistair would do. Kind of evil, isn't it?

Alistair kills people all throughout Dragon Age if you took him with you...

That would be cool since the comics aren't canon :)

I could just see it now. All of the die-hard Morrigan fans would be pissed off that they included her sister instead of bringing Morrigan back.

Oh no. After DA2 I pray that all the characters I really liked never come back.

Could be reminiscent of when/if the Warden stabs Morrigan leaving an unknown fate affect.

Because she was (indirectly) responsible for all that went wrong in Ferelden; had Maric still been on the throne, DAO would have happened very differently.

And because he was tired of the manipulation of Flemeth and her daughters.

Except that events like Yavana's death would be canon. The person doing the stabbing may or may not differ though.

I hope she is alive. Would be interesting to see another viewpoint on Flemeth and what it is to be a "Witch of the Wilds". I don't know about as a companion, but I think she would be a great NPC to dialogue with.

What if he's dead, you think Yavana would reveal herself to Isabela and Varric if Alistair wasn't with them or to the Qunari???I think not :P

One thought that I have now is why Flemeth didn't attempt to protect the King at Ostegar if his blood was so important to their plan with the Dragons. Did she know who Allister was even back then, or was he somehow a better option than the King?

Agreed It makes me wonder why Yavana life was spared and morrigan was to be Flemeths new host

I love Morrigan, really. She's by far my favorite Li in all time. However...

According to Yavana, Flemeth trained several of her daugthers as "witches of the wild". Not saying Yavana is trustworthy, just has very little reason to lie in that matter; nobody cares that she got a "witch of the wild" diploma from the university of Flemeth. Not saying Flemeth is some great force for good, either. My point however:

There's avery distinct possibility that Morrigan was bull****ting the warden, to get Flemeth out of the way and the OGB solely in her possession to raise as she sees fit. It's absolutly a morrigan thing to do, that's part of the reason I like her. Image IPB

This has been on my mind for a while. Morrigan could've lied to the Warden for her own means to get possession of the child. Or maybe what was written in the Grimore we found in the tower was taken the wrong way by Morrigan given it wasn't Flemath real Grimore.

Then there would probably be another one of Marric's bastards to fill the role! That's the magic of being able to make **** up.

That would be a stupid decision, conviniently have another son of Maric's look for him...They'd just be pulling stuff out of their asses at that point.

Yes please. Besides I only count games as cannon. There is no king Alistair in my Thedas, he's a Grey Warden.

So she should be an optional companion, like Garrus and Tali, only that in this case a choice completely unrelated to the character in question (which probably didn't even exist at the moment) would decide which player could have this companion? Or are you saying that the comic should be considered as completely non-relevant to the game, no matter your choices about Alistair (and Isabela, I'd guess)?
I say no to optional companion, expecially depending on choices that are completely unrelated to a certain character. If we want a Witch of the Wilds as a companion, I'm sure there are others in Thedas that could join us.

The hard canon is Alistair is King and the Warden is human

There is no hard canon, except the one you make yourself.

Alistair is dead in all of my playthroughts, except one. So Yavanna can easily be a companion (however unlikely it is, as we already seen the companions leaks and she was not amongst them). Not to mention that game takes place in Orlei and she is in Antiva.

i think he told that these stories are just parallels realities... ... anything could happen within the choices of the game...

Since there are supposedly other witches aka Morrigan's sisters I suppose it's possible we might meet another of them.
