I've been using the NwN2 Client Extention to launch my NwN2 for quite a while now and I must say NwN2 seems much more stable with it than without.

However, I have been plagued with two issues that have recentlly come to a head with Kamal's great Crimmor mod. Texture corruption and intermittent lag spikes that have become crashes.

Texture corruption:

Here is a NWN2_errorlog.txt from yesterday's session where I averaged 1 or 2 crashes an hour.

I am on a Lenovo Ideapad U460s with 8gb RAM running Windows 8 Pro. I have run through the NWN2 OC twice, 80% of MotB and started SoZ. Throughout that I experienced these problems to a lesser degree. The game was playable, but quirky.

Often when a polymorph or barkskin/stoneskin/etc was cast, the character sheet or journal would become unreadable. The lag was occaisionally so bad I'd save the game and quit. However, I only crashed 3 times in the OC - all of them with massive spellcasting going on (I'm sure you all can figure out where :-P ).

Playing through Crimmor I crashed. A lot. And I noticed something.
Loading one of the heavy modules - Drover's Gate - the first time in would result in about 46% of my 8gb RAM being used (I had other things up at the time - Chrome mainly - but 1.1gb of that was NwN2). Transition out and back and it might be 48%. Do it again (no other action but stepping out and back in) and it might be 52% or 62%.

Once it was 83% - NwN2 had allocated 3.307gb of RAM (compared to a "baseline" of 1.1gb for the first load).

On one of the crashes, I got a popup about a "huge file".  < click >

Usually it just "stopped running"

In the errorlog I have a stack overflow.

I enjoyed Crimmor immensely. But I'd sure like to know what's screwed up on my machine and how to fix it :-/

Well, my experience with textures glitching out while playing mods I had tentatively concluded are caused by my running out of memory, because I get better results if I shut down any unnecessary programs and use a program to temporarily kill unneeded processes. But you have much more RAM than I do, and you're still experiencing it, so there might be something else.
