This actually isn't a PUG rant, either. It's just that there have been some really weird rooms lately. As in unusual, not necessarily bad.

As many of you know, I've been grinding Silver lately thanks to working on N7 Mastery and my current promotion-fest thanks to that. So, I've been Quick Matching into Silver PUGS.

Well, tonight was the second night in the past week that I Quick Matched into not one... not two... but three totally different rooms - with different hosts - specifically set for Collectors/Condor. Every other PUG I've gone into was Unknown/Unknown. But these were specifically set... and all specifically set to the glitchiest map with the freeziest faction.

Did... did I miss a memo or something?

After that... weirdness... I searched for one last room of the night, looking for Vorcha Sentinel extractions. I land on Dagger/Cerberus. A quick check of the scoreboard shows Wave 10... but the weird thing is two other players (besides me) had absolutely no score and one guy had all the points. Okay, so I figure we all three got thrown into someone's solo game. But the guy with all the points... was missile glitching.

Which, by the way, is now officially the first missile glitcher I have seen in any of my Silver/Gold/Platinum games on PS3. And he was doing it ON SILVER. With the "classic" Destroyer/Striker combo. Just [Missile Launcher] All The Things Non-Stop. I was beside myself. Either people can suddenly missile glitch solo now (if those other two really did drop in when I did)... or the other two were willing accomplices who hadn't even attempted to kill anything.

I will never know because I got so violently angry that I ceased to pay attention to the other two and instead spent the rest of Wave 10 filling the missile glitcher's face full of blinding flames. And then shot him with my Piranha and meleed him when on cooldown. And lobbed both cluster grenades at him. Then flamered him some more. Then watched as a Guardian took him down. Then shot the Guardian. Then stood over his bleeding body, looked down at him... and shot more flamer in his face. He gelled and went right back to missile glitching. I was still so stunned and angry that I left in disgust. And reported him. Screw the credits. Screw the Vorcha extraction I needed.

I feel violated.

and if its a missile glitcher, i just make a sandwhich, collect da creds, and leave for another lobby.

man im hungry right now lol.

I've actually never seen one on Gold or Platinum.

A few times in Bronze, back in the day, and a couple of times in Silver.

Last time I saw one was back in November, I think. I've been lucky for the last few months.

I had three platinum games like that on ps3 earlier today with a missile glitcher giant hazard/reapers who then left after three games. Granted those are my first and only plat games, but I don't count those as victory because of the glitcher.

Was the name th3slay3rs_ by chance?

I also still think the sudden proliferation of Collector/Condor lobbies to be, frankly, odd as all get-out.

PUG quality on PS3 is generally poor, imo. The worst traits of every other platform's players distilled into an already small and shrinking player base.

Missile glitching on Silver...just...why?

I've seen more missile glitch clowns on Silver than all other difficulties combined. I can only imagine they think it's faster than Gold and therefore more credits, but I've only ever spoken to one and all he could do was swear.

Next time try to outscore him/her. It's a fun challenge.

I tried that before and was able to do it for a wave or 2 but then it just got stupid.

I've seen some "weird" lobbies lately, also. Usually, they're populated with people with n7 200 to 250, more or less. I wonder if it has anything to do to ME3 being free in March for europe PSPlus subscribers....

it's THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO!! with the missile glitchers...gold/plat/pug theres no escape its missiles everywhere,and its probably going to be like this until the servers close

I've been working on waves on Silver lately myself and yes I have seen the odd settings on more than one occasion. My guess is since everyone had always been setting map and faction to avoid glitchy crap they hate like Collectors and Condor, everyone needs them now to finish up their challenges. Can't think of any other reason to go to Condor.

I've only seen one missile glitcher, back before the latest "fix", but it was on Platinum. I took my credits and spent them like a baws. Why even bother missile glitching on Silver, LOL?

Probably map mastery nearing completion + collectors is among the easiest faction to complete a gold challenge. Both nets you quite a few challenge points

The first (and only) missile glitcher I've encountered was also on Silver. The player wasn't that good either, kept going down.

After yesterday, when ~40% of credits I've earned from completed matches space-magically disappeared I don't care about anyone using any kind of a glitch/hack/cheat/coalesced edit. Fighting fire with fire, you know?

No reason to get that angry about it. Live and let live. It's just a game. I've never come across a glitcher in all of my many hours of playing, but if I do I won't care. Free credits for me. I don't understand why so many care so much.

I also got put into a few lobbies specifically set for Silver/Collectors the last few days on PS3.  ("You REALLY want London/Collectors?!")  Additionally got a few collectors in u/u/ too.  I've wondered if there's a greater probablity of getting collectors if one asks for random enemies 'cause otherwise no one would pick them.

I find silver/collectors harder than gold/reaper matches!

Missile Glitchers do suck so I feel your pain. Now Dragon why are you grinding in Silver? Hit up some friends and we will help you grind in Gold. You will get more points and be done with challenges faster that way.
