Eh?

I hate R.A. Salvatore. I hate what he did to the Forgotten Realms and I hate what he did with the New Jedi Order.

Sorry, I'll go away now. Posted Image

Okay, lets get back on topic, Sci Fi games are usually not that diverse, taking after Star Wars where Lando was the only black man in the galaxy

NJO has been over for a while now...

They're on the Legacy Era right now.

40-50 years after the Battle of Yavin.

I think Kaidan mentioned something about Chicago once but I'm not sure.  Could have been referring to Chicago, Western Cape, South Africa though.  James also said New York while on Palaven.:innocent:

And this has to so with America disappearing... How?

Again, Seattle still exists (which debunks your notion right there). James also grew up on the Pacific coast (which, along with his reminiscing of deserts, might mean he grew up in California).

James was lamenting that the Reapers were in New York, not that NY didn't exist anymore.

I disagree.

That's a well-formed argument if I've ever seen one! *salute* Carry on!

Mace Windu. Panaka. Jolee Bindo. Dorak. Grizz Frix....

Wow. There really aren't that many black guys in Star Wars.

Oh, I know. I still hate the direction it took, which is why I stopped reading the Star Wars expanded universe.

It took a much grayer approach to the Force, the Jedi, and the Sith, that's for sure.

Kind of funny though. Jacen becomes Caedus and goes from questioning the nature behind the Force to then becoming the Dark Lord to save the galaxy, only to become nearly as bad as his grandfather and his master.

I'm not saying he was as powerful or deadly as Palpatine. But he had the potential to be. His reign as Dark Lord was only a few months in length.

The game is made in Canada, so you can expect a bit of Western/Eurocentrism. I think the writers attempted to have non-whites introduced into the universe, but it's kind of hard to get voice actors and model characters and avoid getting into too many stereotypes. I hope they make more of an effort for the next game.

My main beef is that in the ME universe, Earth and the Alliance still seems to be dominated by the Western powers. China is there, but hardly mentioned. That's not not how it looks things will turn out. By the end of this century, we can expect Eastern and Southern nations to be the most economically and politically influential. The West has had its day and is in decline.

And no longer ME3 story or campaign related.

End of line.
