I won't lie. I for one hold a very.... Colonial attitude towards Canada as an American.
Don't know if I'm using the word right.
I have a superiority complex towards Canadians. Call it bad, call it cultural cringe, call it narrow, call it me buying into the American Zeitgeist too much for an otherwise worldly and balanced person.
It's there, and it's a part of me.
Ok ... I'm still confused in your mind, Candians are better, did I got that right or you think Americans are better? confused still.

That's rather presumptuous considering the story takes place 170 years into the future.

Americans are better. As I said, it's a tendency I have.
For example, I believe the hero always has to be American. Acceptable substitutes are British and Australian. In fact, I prefer the heroine to always be Australian.
The case is moot for alternate realities were modern nations/politics/etc. don't exist.
I'm a strong believer in America always leading the charge and being the leader period.
Kind of funny considering how critical I am of blind patroitism.
It's a weird character flaw, or quirk, that I have.

As bad as he ****ed up the prequels, he ends his stories pretty well.
The yub-yub song at the end of Jedi was kind of ridiculous, but I still love it. I do like his original idea of a tired and defeated Luke sort of just walking off into the sunset.

Actually, even Asian video games/ anime, etc.. tend to have mostly non-Asians in my experience. Even if the characters may be culturally Asian, the whole non-Asian look is really popular.
Well that's pretty understandable, most Japanese pop culture is essentially Western in character, and most of what is produced in the other Asian countries is derivative of the Japanese stuff.
Heh. Well, we get a little bit tired of having the same straight, black hair and dark brown eyes. I know a lot of girls who colour their hair, give it some curl, and put coloured contacts in. Family included. It gets a little bit embarassing at some points, but they grow out of it and learn how to be proud of who they are.
The fact that I have what we call "almond eyes" is a HUUUUGE deal in my family since my eyes are a bit bigger and rounder than usual.
(And by the way, I wouldn't necessarily say that it's all derivative of it. Perhaps affected by but not derived. I, for one, know that Hong Kong culture is very different from Japanese culture and we don't come from them. If anything, they took from us. Eh heh.) But over in Asia, being Western is considered to be the coolest thing around. They even hound me when I go back home because I speak perfect English. (I've gotta say, though, that the English spoken by HK school children is sometimes better than that of native English speakers the way they butcher the language over here.. Sad, eh?)

There was no deus ex machina in Jedi (unless you're talking about the ewoks, which still doesn't merit the term). And as for the first part, the Death Star II was under construction and the builders hadn't covered the hole yet... It's weak writing, but it serves its purpose.Spartas Husky wrote...

Two Death Stars is a kind of lame concept, but then again, it's Star Wars. There are no less than 6 weapons based off the Death Star design. And a lot more.

And this has to so with America disappearing... How?
Again, Seattle still exists (which debunks your notion right there). James also grew up on the Pacific coast (which, along with his reminiscing of deserts, might mean he grew up in California).
James was lamenting that the Reapers were in New York, not that NY didn't exist anymore.
I disagree.

No no I'm talking about the first one getting blown by a missile turning 90 degrees through a tube leading all the way into its core... you know the colon. Was hoping for massive attacks, assaults, casualties etc. Cheap ass lucas.
And the ewoks... nvm about the ewoks they dont exist, ground forces got attack by specialized rebel infantry....

It was almost a disaster for the Rebels. Only 3 fighters plus the Millenium Falcon survived the battle. Behind Luke and Wedge, Red Squadron was entirely wiped out. One Y-wing pilot survived from Gold Squadron, Keyan Farlander. A lot of Rebels died. And then the aftermath....Spartas Husky wrote...

Deny it all you want, it happened.
There is literally 1,000,000,000 years of history in the Star Wars universe. I'm a huge Star Wars fan.
Revan? Thrawn? Mara Jade? Kyle Katarn? Bane? Wedge Antilles? K'Kruhk? Some of the most kickass Star Wars characters ever.
Boba Fett? Don't knock the Fettman.
