Was waiting for someone to post this but guess no one did. I was really hoping this wouldn't happen again as I do admit some of there business practices and attitudes toward gaming aren't good to say the least, but BoA is worse by far. "On a whole different level" as someone would say.

That's hilarious. I feel sorry for any soul who can truly name a luxury company, and not only a luxury company but one who makes video games, as "the worst company in the world."

I think this world needs a little perspective.

Edit: Naming ME3 is very, very stupid. It's quite clear that Bioware, and EA, were not "cashing in" on anything with the game, but were taking a very very unique direction with the story. Say what you want about the game--the story isn't trying to be mainstream.

Of course, most dislike it and as such allow their emotion to cloud the truth.

I agree. The two arguments of "I can't log in to the server, or DLC is overpriced so EA stinks!!" does not even hold a candle to...."umm...BoA just took my f*ck*ing house!!!".

This is ridiculous.. EA isn't a saint by any means but they are absolutely not the worst company in America. They create video games, a luxuary product. There are far worse companies out there..

Yup. In my eyes Monsanto probably takes the worst company award, surprised they're even legal.

2. Sell your product at a reasonable price?

What, like EA and literally every other AAA company has done for the last decade? Two decades.

What an idiot. I suspect this writer doesn't know what he's talking about.

I will say EA blaming conservatives and "homophobes" (a phrase used by people who don't understand it) is very, very not cool.

But it's a video game, people. Hedonism. Control yourselves. Sheesh.

Honestly, the people who voted for EA probably have only been screwed by EA. There's no way they'd vote for EA over BoA or other companies otherwise.

Utterly stupid. People forced out of their homes is, apparently, of less importance than the launch problems of SimCity and the dubious business practices of a luxury product manufacturer. Sigh, practically the definition of 'first world problems'.

Any way, despite the very obvious fact that there are companies out there that makes EA look like Nintendo, it doesn't take away the fact that they "won". Let's all hope that this at least makes them aware how little trust the consumers have in them and finally make them allow their developers to make the good games that they're capable of.

That statement is worrying, all it says to me is that EA don't know or are just ignoring why people hate them.

Plus EA winning the worst company award, kinda shows how important video games have become to people.

Exactly this. However consider that those are people who generally all have internet access and lots of free time to express their rage by searching out polls on odd sites.

Meanwhile the people BoA screwed over don't even have a home to plug their computer into. Let alone have a clue what the Consumerist is.

Its not a poll to take seriously because those polled are heavily skewed.

I think EA winning that is a symptom of how fans feel about the way video games industry is going.

No, I think it's just more to do with EA and how they treat their customers.

The online gaming community has failed me. I have spent years trying to defend my hobby from people who say that it's for kids and that the community it's made of childish people who spend so much time looking at a screen that they have no idea what's going on in the real world. Today, I can longer defend them.

I concede defeat. :crying:

Yeah Gearbox sucks too, but they're not behind crap like Origin, day one DLC practices, always online games such as Sim City, killing good companies, rushing developers to release games that aren't done and so on.

I especially like the part where he says the Origin is a great succes and a good competitor for Steam.:P And of course that they won this award because all the homophobes voted for them.
